Objective: My objective is to acquire a position to enhance my knowledge of
Business Administration, while gaining experience in all aspects of the
company.
Profile: I am proficient in the daily operation of technical and logistical
support of office administrative work. I am also proficient with daily
clerical work and I am concerned with safety and welfare of all employees
and the company's safety programs.
Professional History: During my time away from the business world I held a
Crossing Guard position for The Falcon School District in Colorado. My time
was spend keeping children and their parents safe and defusing unpleased
situations that could potentially harm innocent bystanders. I had added
contact with people internal and external to the company and school. I left
this position when my family relocated to Florida due to my husbands
transfer.
I was employed by Hadco Lighting Company as an entry level mail room clerk,
however, I advanced to sales specialist; however, my skills were required
for the receptionist's position. The receptionist position entitled me
freedom to offer my help to different departments which increased my
understanding of the company's procedure and administrative side. My tasks
included filing, incoming and outgoing calls, receiving, processing, and
distribution of daily supplies, data entry, and I was held accountable for
specific tasks relating to the accounting, customer service, and marketing
departments. I terminated my employment after my son was born for financial
and personal reasons.
My first administrative position held was with Wackenhut Corp., a security
company. I started out as a security officer for Capital One; however, my
natural administrative skills enabled me to advance to a receptionist's/ HR
assistant position located in the home office. The tasks I was responsible
for were the placement of employees, daily administrative operations within
the office, receiving and processing daily supplies, data entry, incoming
calls, and distribution of payroll. I left this promising position to
relocate to another state.
Skills: The skills I have acquired during my time in the business world and
in college are as follows: superb personnel skills, team player, proficient
in computers (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), typing, outstanding
communication skills, and employee trainer, trained in conflict resolution,
and the ability to learn and master new skills.
Education: I have completed my Bachelor's of Science in Business
Administration from the University of Phoenix with a GPA of 3.67. I majored
in administration with 36 credit hours. I also have a diploma from
Electrician's "A" School in 1988 from the United States Navy, an adult
Computer Application course certificate in 1999, and a high school diploma
from Greece Athena High School in 1987.
