DRAFTING:

< The use of CAM software to create models of parts and assemblies; provide

2-D and 3-D

drawings to document designs.

< The ability to calculate the amount of material necessary for production

or construction and

provide an estimated time line for completion of projects.

< Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing achieving the shortest cycle time

by eliminating

waste.

MACHINING:

< Prepare parts for machining by choosing the appropriate tooling, such as

drills and/or end

mills to produce the requested design; Determine appropriate holding

methods and create any

necessary jigs or fixtures to secure part in place.

< Operate a variety of manual and automated machines to shape parts as

outlined in the

blueprints or CAD system.

< Program CNC mill and lathe machines by entering dimensions, tolerances,

and required cuts

into controller or program CNC equipment by code through the use of CAM

software.

MECHANICAL:

<Perform visual and final inspection using measuring tools(e.g.

micrometers, calipers, etc.)as

well as sight and touch to ensure the completed part meets all

specifications.

< Participate in on the job training, formal training programs, and

coaching to maintain my

knowledge and expertise required to machine parts accurately.

EDUCATION:

< Associate in Applied Science in Machining Technologies at Rowan-

Cabarrus Community College with a 3.632 GPA
