Human Resources Record Management System -

It is a great online application for Human Resources department of ACH

which allows them to record and manage all their documents pertaining to

over 4000 employees employed by ACH per year.

. The application uses a great role based model to provide security to

the system.

. Allows online moving of documents from one section of the file to

another

. Online role assignment

. Online viewing of documents in the form of pdf documents

. Nightly process to get daily scanned documents in the system

. Includes scanning, Splitting and OCR of the images before actual

processing

. First document management system developed in the hospital

Centralized Referral or Form Management System -

It centralizes the Referrals processing from PCPs for Arkansas Children's

Hospital. Obtaining referrals from PCPs for the patients seen at the

hospital is sometimes a very time consuming and error prone process.

Hospital can potentially loose millions of dollars on insurance claims if

we don't get to receive referrals from PCPs.

. The automated system allows ACH to receive Referrals from PCPs in the

form of faxes in their callpilot system.

. Form Management system reads faxes in the callpilot, process them and

puts in the user's inbox for them to process after identifying whether

it is a Referral or Not. It streamlines the whole process of sending

and receiving faxes for getting referrals.

. It is a beautiful application with several components designed to

perform various functions in order to integrate the whole process from

the point request is made for the referral to the point Referral is

received from PCP. It involves very complex logics built in SQL Server

stored procs and VB.net to evaluate and process request for referrals

and then to process incoming referrals

Pharmacy Scanning System -

Again large application with various components which allow Pharmacy Orders

to be scanned from the unit and get processed in the pharmacy located in

other part of the hospital. It reduces work overlap and facilitates timely

delivery of medications to the patients. It has reduced usage of Tube

system hospital had, considerably.

Patient Accounts Scanning System -based on same model as Form Management

and Pharmacy Scanning. It is made specifically for Patient Accounts users.

. It allows them to scan Patient Account documents and process them

through their own inbox.

. Again excellent application to maximize user productivity, store data

for various kinds of reporting purposes and minimizes errors

Healthpoint-

It is a portal for in-house medical providers and outside the hospital. It

allows them to see any information about their patient. Information ranges

from lab results- like blood test, microbiology or radiology.

. Integration of Radiology imaging software-PAC allows physicians to

even see radiology image of their patients.

. Progress notes on patients can also be viewed in a very structured

manner using Treeview.

. There is a huge section of this site which allows users to record

their notes whether it be discharge summary or daily progress notes.

. Very soon this is becoming very popular way of recording and keeping

their documentation on patients.

. It is a marvelous piece of work which took around 1 year of dedicated

effort to develop and implement and enhancements are still in

progress.
