SUMMARY:

. An IT professional with more than 8 years of work experience in diverse

domains like Banking, Health Care, Insurance, Manufacturing &

Telecommunications specializing in Oracle Database Administration.

. Proficient as an Oracle DBA providing 24/7 support of 11g RAC/10g

RAC/9i/8i databases running on RedHat Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX

and Windows 2000/NT Server.

. Extensive experience in DBA responsibilities such as Installation,

Upgrades, Patches, Cloning, Backup & Recovery, Performance Tuning,

Capacity Planning, Script Development & Documentation.

. Good experience with DBMS optimization and normalization strategies;

system integrity and monitoring/auditing activities, backup, archival and

disaster recovery procedures.

. Proven ability to identify root causes of problems, consider both long

and short-term impact of proposed solutions and develop workable

solution. Ability to manage multiple project tasks with changing

priorities and tight deadlines.

. Experience in Installing and configuring Oracle RAC 10gR2, Oracle RAC 11g

R2 and Standby Databases (Oracle Data Guard) for High Availability and

Disaster Recovery.

. Experience in configuring and managing a Golden Gate.

. Experience in Logical & Physical Design of Databases, Data Modeling &

Conceptual Design.

. Ability to Test and implement different physical, logical backup and

recovery methods like point in time (PITR), media recovery, full /

partial backup, Export/Import and DATA PUMP.

. Excellent experience in Hot/Cold Backup & crash Recoveries of databases.

. Excellent experience in RMAN backups Level 0 and Level 1 (Differential,

Cumulative) and Incremental update backups.

. Hands on experience in Creating and managing database objects like

tables, views, sequences, synonyms, indexes, DB links and Materialize

views.

. Good exposure of advanced security using Database trigger, Auditing,

Virtual Private Database (VPD), Table space Encryption & TDE (Transparent

Data Encryption).

. Strong Unix/Linux experience, Programming & Shell/Perl scripting skills.

. Extensive experience in writing SQL, PL/SQL programs, Stored Procedures,

packages, Functions, Triggers to implement business logic.

. Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Query Optimization

. Good experience in Performance monitoring and tuning of databases, Oracle

instances, and Applications using SQLTRACE, TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN,

STATSPACK, AWR, ADDM

. Experience in partitioning and sub-partitioning (Range, Hash, List,

Composite) of tables in OLTP, OLAP & DSS database systems.

. Adept in Monitoring & Optimizing Oracle databases for Performance Tuning

& system/modules for application Tuning.

. Proficient in using Automatic workload repository (AWR) to collect memory

statistics & Automatic database diagnostic monitor (ADDM) to monitor,

analyze statistics & provide advisory services.

. Strong Experience in System Resource Management including Bottleneck

Detection, Contention Tuning, CPU, Memory & I/O etc.

. Experienced in monitoring data & index growth, performing capacity

planning, estimating database space requirements, monitoring logs &

managing their sizes to provide Optimal Instance Recovery.

. Expertise in playing the role of a Liaison between application

development & data administration team to enhance Database & Application

Performance.

. Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues stemming from multiple

sources including Hardware, Software, OS, and Network equipment.

. Ability to work with business units to understand their challenges and

provide appropriate technical solutions.

. Result oriented & Self-Motivated team player with an ability to work

independently.
