OBJECTIVE

I am seeking a career with a solid, well respected organization that will

utilize my skills, talents, strong work ethic, and work history in a

permanent full-time position. This position would enable me to use my

strong customer service skills, and my knowledge and training within

banking/mortgage and mortgage underwriting industry.

WORK EXPERIENCE

July 2010-present

Bank of America Home Loans

Sr. Mortgage Underwriter

Hired to become a level 3 conventional mortgage loan underwriter, with

expectations of continuing and be nominated to become an FHA/VA

underwriter, and reactivate my DE underwriting designation.

Review and underwrite conventional and VA mortgage loan files, to include

both manually underwritten files and automated approved files.

Interpret credit policy guidelines and procedures and apply them to

specific loan files to perfect them for marketability.

The issuing of approvals and declinations of submitted mortgage files in a

timely manner, following Bank of America policies and procedures.

Obtained SASE Conventional Level 3 underwriting authority and VA level 1

within timeframe given. I am now working towards obtaining FHA underwriting

authority. Once this is complete I will take necessary steps to re-

activate my DE authority.

The assistant director of student financial advising reports to the

associate director of financial aid and is responsible for advising and

assisting prospective and current students and their families with all

aspects of financing their education. The assistant director leads a team

of advisors, serving as the main contact for students to resolve financial

aid or billing process questions. Use strong understanding of Title IV

guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance.

Review and underwrite at every level of Conventional, and Non-conforming

mortgage loans, to include both manually underwritten files and automated

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.

Effectively and quickly communicate any areas of concern with a loan file

Issue approvals and declinations after first searching all avenues via

multiple programs to determine the best program fit for the applicant.

On a daily basis fully supervise, train, and counsel mortgage

department loan officers/staff, consisting of four mortgage loan

officers, one mortgage loan processor/closer and one construction

mortgage lender. Daily preparation of the mortgage department

reports, ledgers, and statistics for review by the City Bank

President. Having complete and thorough knowledge of Agency, FHA,

Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Jumbo, and other investor mortgage product

guidelines, requirements, practices and procedures with an ability to

train, educate and advise staff and customers of products available to

fit their specific needs and perimeters.

Underwrite all automated approve files within Accumortgage; underwrite

credit history and credit scoring entering information into "Mortgage

Ware" and gain approval based on information input, utilizing DU, LP,

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills responsible for

acquiring a book of business from realtors, builders, developers and

personal referrals. Coordinate loan closings from origination to

final funding of the transaction, including processing, shipping,

administrative functions and closing.

As an account executive my primary responsibility was to solicit new

accounts from mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers, and other financial

institutions, to acquire conventional, jumbo, and government

residential mortgage loans. While using refined sales and public

relations techniques maintained existing account base while obtaining

new residential mortgage accounts. Maintain thorough knowledge of

underwriting guidelines, procedures and practices, to best advice the

retail client base.

Further my duties included being available for questions or concerns

with relation to not only the entire mortgage approval process from

acquiring the loan package through the process to closing, and funding

with complete and accurate information to guide them, but to be

knowledgeable of all policies, guidelines and procedures from Flagstar

Bank, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac guidelines as well as FHA and VA

procedures.
