Boeing Communication Systems (BCS)

The project "BCS" is based on Siebel Call Center 7.5.3 application. The

purpose of the Boeing Communication System (BCS) Project is to support and

enhance the existing communication and technical problem resolution

functionality in BCS and establish the framework for future Boeing

Commercial Airplane (BCA) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) centric

projects.

Responsibilities:

. Developed Automated test scripts for functionality testing using QTP

. Setup various workstations for testing and installed QuickTest

Professional versions 8.0 and later 8.2 (after upgrading to Windows

XP) and LoadRunner 7.8 ver.

. Installed PERL, VNC Viewer (to help control remote workstations for

monitoring the testing process) and SiteScope 7.9

. Handled the responsibility of TestDirector Admin for setting up users,

user groups, projects and project access. Responsibilities also

included customizing module access, project entities and project

lists.

. Involved in the Integration Testing, System Testing, UAT Testing,

Regression Testing

. Tested the various Assignment Rules (ATA, Non ATA, Product Type,

Service Group, Field Service Administration and Email Profile Rules)

for Service Requests and Activities to be assigned to appropriate

owners. For this prepared Data-Driven Testing using QTP.

. Prepared Test Cases, Test conditions and Click Streams based on the

Functional Specifications and Technical Design Documents

. Involved in complete end to end testing of Inbound Communications.

This included thorough understanding of the Communications Processes,

Functional Specifications and Requirements

. Modified pre-written PERL Scripts to send in emails into BCS with

required content and validations to facilitate manual and automated

testing

. Automated the process of sending emails into BCS system at different

rates for different time intervals using QTP and thus created load on

the system, and assisted in studying the statistics using LoadRunner.

. Worked with Siebel-call center and performed Load testing on

standalone Siebel application

. Involved in total testing of Outbound Communications. It's mainly

communication from BCS to Customers, tested the functionality for

different buttons like Compose, Reply, Reply-All and different

Templates

. Generated the automated test scripts for testing the Interface testing

like ARMS, SONIC and Reusable Solutions

. Tested the various UI objects and navigation properties of Siebel

eService application

. Involved in the P&SV (Process & System Validation) testing (This is

Worked as Sr.Tester/Analyst for Siebel Call Center. The project "CBAI" is

based on Siebel call center and TIBCO adapter architecture. The project is

mainly an implementation of the PRS with API's centralized in BOB aiming to

centralize standardization functions. The project mainly consists of CRM,

ERP, EDS and B2B adapters. I was mainly working on CRM and EDS adapters

integrating with Siebel UI/Data base called CRIS.

eVendor Management System (EVMS)

This system mainly aims at automating the business transactions between the

Vendors and Buyers of Supply chain Stores. The salient features of the

system include automatic generation of purchase orders by the vendors and

automatic mailing to buyers/ approval hierarchies, cost updating Process,

Inventory valuation. The whole system is implemented in 3-tier

architecture. The database repository is Oracle 8.0 and the business logic

using EJB as component model for database retrieval is stored in Weblogic

application server (middle tier) and the user interface, access to the

business activities were done through JSP.

Responsibilities:

. Participated in the assessment of system specifications as well as the

development and implementation of system test plans and scripts

. Designed Test plans and Test cases for testing the application

. Conducted manual tests for front end validation and global database

connectivity

. Used the automated tool WinRunner for functional, integration and

regression testing

. Used LoadRunner extensively for load and volume testing of Oracle

server and WebLogic server

. Created Java, RMI, EJB, Cobra compatible Vuser templates and added

LoadRunner functions to enhance the script and run the Vusers

. Exported the WebLogic server Hits per second and Throughput graphs
