Manage each phase of the publication process for all proposals, engineering
development and test documentation. Track all revisions from initial draft
to final release to Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer.
Edit and revise documents according to company, customer, and FAA
requirements. Advise engineers in matters of format, style, and grammar.
Review each document for order, clarity, conciseness, style, format, and
terminology.
Provide monthly metrics to senior management. Attend all certification
meetings and contribute to each program schedule. Responsible for
streamlining process and procedures as required. Maintain a strong
relationship with each customer and the FAA.
Manage, mentor, and train a team of five Technical Writers at the Goodrich
India Design Center (IDC) in Bangalore. Lead monthly conference calls with
team members to discuss workload, deadlines, document escapes, and feedback
from engineering staff in Phoenix.

Flight Deck Upgrade proposals to Boeing.
Serve as the documentation resource for the entire Air Transport Systems
(ATS) facility.
Manage a team of five Technical Editors/Writers. Responsibilities include:
manage metrics of work and resources, attend weekly management
certification forecast meetings, lead monthly Doc Standards Team meetings,
work with supplier management to evaluate staffing needs, employee and
vendor/subcontractor evaluations, maintain team morale, assure customer
satisfaction, report document status to senior management on a weekly
basis, renegotiate document release dates when necessary, revise the
Publications Work Instructions annually, and provide support and training

Edit and revise certification and software documents, proposals, and
technical papers based on four edit levels. The edit levels range from a
simple format edit, to a thorough edit that includes reviewing headers and
footers, grammar, punctuation, format consistency, accuracy of references,
and compatibility with current docstyle.
Complete rewrites based on red-lined pages provided by the product and
quality engineers and incorporate changes into a final PDF.
Track documents through each phase of the publication process utilizing the
Configuration Management System (PVCS Dimensions).
