microalgae biomass for sample preparation for analysis using classical

and accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) methods.

. Participate in development, validation and performance of analytical

methods for lipid characterization of microalgae - evaluation of

triglyceride accumulation using fluorescence assay, as well as

separation and quantitation of lipid classes using thin-layer

chromatography with flame ionization detector (TLC/FID) and GC/FID,

and determination of fatty acid methyl ester distributions using

GC/MS.

. Prepare standard operating procedures and implement statistical

quality control for analytical methods for lipid characterization in

compliance with ISO 17025.
