Managed 11 Salaried and 300 Union hourly personnel in a multi-cultural, four-shift, union
facility, producing over 33MM lbs of ‘Slim Jim’ through batch processing, 17 co-extrusion
& autolink process units. Saved the company more than 38,000 labor hours in the first year.
Improved OEE from 48 to 84 in the last 22 months. Worked with Kaizen & FI teams to
continue to be more cost effective.
Continued to review areas of opportunities to reduce costs in the current year. Helped in
creating a “zero loss” culture focusing on safety, quality and driving operational
effectiveness through operational equipment effectiveness (OEE), 5S, reliability
improvement plans, focused improvement, centerlining, autonomous/planned maintenance

losses from about 1 million to about 300K in the 2006. Continued to review areas of

to bring the plant into break even and make profit in 2008.
Responsible for managing all plant activities for this Mexican snack food manufacturer in
the United States. Responsible for managing 8 Department Managers and 180 hourly union
employees (UFW) and coordinating the management of the plant.
Responsible for the total cost of products, operational efficiencies, service to sales, safety
and hiring /training of new supervisory/management team members.
Handle about 55 Million pounds per year in finished goods and a budget of nearly 6.8
million dollars per year.
Also accountable for safety, reduction of injury index in all areas of the facility.
A certified Trainer for food safety program for AIB (American Inst. Of Baking).
Implemented a new program for daily inspections for food safety. Monitor & manage
monthly meetings with employees to raise awareness of GMP’s, OSHA and AIB with the
