Work Experience

2007- Present Production Manager at Elixir Industries. Sacramento, CA.

Work under pressure and in limited timeframe for Elixir Industries.

Responsible for all aspects of production and quality control in the manufacture of various custom heavy steel and light gage metal products. Effectively supervise and motivate production teams, and have developed a strong team atmosphere among virtually all personnel. Plan and schedule projects for fabrication in a cost effective manner, and track production vs. production goals daily. Work closely with shipping and receiving, along with numerous suppliers to ensure efficiency. At this point, I hold more than 9 years supervising crews of up to 22 union employees, and conducting business fluently in Spanish and English.

2001-2007 CNC Programmer / Crew Leader at Davison Iron Works.

Primary tasks were training and overseeing personnel, also programming and operating a FPDB plasma cutter.

Other responsibilities included maintenance of equipment, fabrication and quality control of steel parts of assorted grades. D.I.W. was able to use me as Spanish translator to train Latino laborers. Also, Davison has expounded and been successful on ideas that I had presented. D.I.W. became an excellent source of knowledge, which had allowed me to expand on my skills extensively. Other CNC’s and apparatus’ in which I have solid experience are the: Angle Master, Beam Line, Press Brake, Iron Workers, Pantograph, Mills, Lathes, torches and more.

1999-2001 A&P Technician at C&M Aircraft, Inc. Sacramento, CA.

Full-time tech in a crew of 13 top professionals. I developed most of my technical experience in aeronautics during this phase in my vocation. Typically, my most common responsibilities were the general maintenance of private aircrafts. These tasks included everything from oil changes and flat repairs, to major overhauling.

Additionally, among other assignments I was engaged in, we performed 100 hr. inspections, sheet metal repairs, and custom modifications to aircrafts. All of us were relied upon for shop support and aircraft detailing. Unfortunately, the events of 9/11 made it futile for a novice to continue along in this profession.

1997-1999 Lead Fabricator at Precision Plastics. Sacramento, CA.

Worked in the crafts of Acrylic design. Provided custom fabrication of acrylics, polycarbonates, and various other synthetic materials. Set up and operated several precision machineries including: CNC router, mills, lathes, panel saw, and a variety of other saws. Day to day hand tools and measuring equipment included: micrometers, calipers, gauges, squares, tape measures, calculators, mathematical formulas, and a litany of jigs.
