Worked directly for plant Instrument Manager (Stewart Hayes) performing

changing out the majority, also checked all COP'S for accuracy.

this Refinery. We performed function checks on all Instrumentation, set up

Spare Parts, etc..

Responsibilities included all

Instrumentation, Electrical & Analytical maintenance and reliability of 70

million scfd Hydrogen plant with COGEN Unit. This involved the handling of

metering issues with CITGO management, T/A planning, scheduling, spare

parts monitoring, material ordering, quality control documentation,

Calibration and Documentation of ( Billing meters, transmitters, valves,

analyzers, LEL Meters, O2 sensors, Outfall flows & PH meters, Elect. motors

maintenance. relays etc.,) along with troubleshooting of any related

equipment. During my tenure I performed QA/QC and start-up on a GE Cogen

unit and two Compressor Station installations, as the company acquired

additional contracts.

I provided QA/QC over Brown & Roots

installation of a new LIPEX PLASTICS UNIT. This involved Inspection, and

testing of instrumentation and controls plant wide. This included

electrical blower packages, compressor skids, nuclear level transmitters,

etc. I red lined prints and revised as necessary then worked as start-up

and commissioning Technician. Afterwards I began documentation for Y2K.

instrumentation integrity, and assisted operations as needed.

I was involved with all aspects of Mechanical Integrity Project (MIP).

Duties included: To verify and revise P&ID's, loop sheets, and various

other DCS logic drawings. The documents were given to CAD operators for the

associated changes then re-checked afterwards before issue. I tested and

calibrated instrumentation plant-wide, during outages normally unscheduled

due to process upsets, and created calibration documentation for

instrumentation on all P&ID's in existence.
