I have over 12 years working experience in health and social care both as a
Registered Nurse and qualified Public Health worker.
Having attended several courses and training I have achieved a high level of
competence and still willing undergoing more to improve professional performance.
Some of the courses done include: Registered Managers Award (RMA) in Health
and Social Care. (Adults), Successful Supervisory management award.
I recently completed my Degree in Public Health and Social Care with Sussex
University.
In addition to my technical skills and experience, I have decisive leadership skills,

Part-time/Voluntary worked as community nurse in local community providing
support to the elderly confined to their homes .As I am passionate about helping
people thus I offered psychological, physical and social support to elderly. This in
turn allowed my clients:
• Gain more confidence to interact with others.
• Gain confidence in-self and develop positive attitude to their surroundings.
• Able to do something to help the community and others.

Older Peoples Campaign Support
And Support Internship
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the biggest charity organisations in the United
Kingdom. It helps support people with cancer and also influences government on
policy decision and making. It works in partnership with the Department of Health
Age UK to improve cancer care for older people. Macmillan Cancer launched The
Age Old Excuse campaign to raise awareness of the complex issues which
contribute to under-treatment of cancer in the older population.
My role included:
Making contact with older people, with cancer and their carers. Talking to
•
them about their experiences and taking photographs for use in the campaign.
Leads on developing an engagement plan to ensure that people aged over 70
•
are involved in the planning and delivery of The Age Old Excuse campaign.
Assisting with the evaluation of a national pilot programme by seeking
•
feedback from patients and their carers.
Assisting the Project manager in various ways for example, creating and
•
editing project documentation, creating power point presentations.
Representing Macmillan to people externally including pilot sites, partner
•
organisations and people with cancer.

Voluntary Worker Enrichment Department
The enrichment department in Croydon College is part of Croydon College which
allows students to get involved in the activities run by the department and enables
students to grow and develop as an individual, gaining leadership skills and

confidence. It allows students to work as volunteers within the department and be
involved in making a positive difference to the college.
My role included;
• Offering support to 16-19 students, engaging them various activities.
• Conducting talks on Equality and Diversity to students through forums.
• Researching and writing on various projects, giving detailed information on
how students can get involved in some organisation like UNICEF.
Researching and writing on Equality and Diversity, Volunteering, Slave Trade and
what role students have in all these areas.
