CRUISE COUSELOR
My main responsibility was to answer the incoming calls and provide the information requested by the caller. This
consisted of quoting cruise fare, making the requested reservations and collecting all the necessary information to successfully
reserve and book a cruise vacation for the client. We acquired the cruise fare information from the computer or calling the
c ruise lines directly. This information had to be gathered in a timely matter to deter the client from wanting to go to another
agency and purchasing their cruise from that agency.
The position required detailed information, strong communications skills, fantastic customer service and the ability to
m ulti task. After the transaction was completed, the information had to be placed into the accounting program and all follow
up associated this this client was my responsibility.

T he responsibilities associated with this position were basically the same as above. My manager Rona Pleat, opened
her own agency and I elected to go with her.

FAMILY SERVICE COUSELOR
I was responsible for accurately gathering the information and filling out the paper work associated with performing
a burial, including marking the correct space, assisting the Funeral Director in arranging the cemetery needs, and meeting
w ith the families to make the arrangements for the burial. My responsibilities focused on family service before and after the
burial, by providing the family the family with what was needed for the current deceased and also for any remaining family or
f riends that showed an interest in taking care of their future funeral needs.
As a Family Service Counselor I had to obtain accurate, personal information from grieving families, but always
maintaining a professional demeanor.
1989-1999 WORLD CLASS TRAVEL AND CRU ISES
TRAVEL CONSULTANT
I was accountable for daily office operations. My main responsibility was providing quality travel arrangements for a
client base of over 15000, with the emphasis on customer service and customer satisfaction. Their travel arrangement had to
completely accurate and exactly what they requested. Other duties included the weekly ARC** report, investigating and
deciphering ARC credit memos, solving client issues, organizing and ordering brochures, and training a potential new owner
possessing very little travel experience. I also was responsible for maintaining the financial account for the agency. During the
extensive vacation time of the original owner, I was solely in control of all aspects of running and maintaining the agency
