Machine Operating Skills
• General Equipment- Forklifts, clamp trucks, electric pallet jacks, pallet wrapping

• Auxiliary Press Equipment- Turrett rewinders, Martin and Butler unwind splicers,
delivery sheeters, control boards, delivery folders, hot-melt rewettable glue systems, die-
cut units, cross and rotary perf units, punch units, crash imprint units, several types of
numbering systems.
• Bindery Equipment- several types of folders, saddle stitchers, envelope converter, die

Manufacturing of semi-truck trailers, start to finish. Use of wide variety of pneumatic tools,
ceiling cranes and scissor lifts.

Job involves equipment and product assembly, setting up new displays of products at home
improvement store chain. Use plan-o-grams daily. Very experienced in use of forklifts and electric pallet
jacks.

Bindery Equipment Operator, June 2008 - July 2009
48” Ito Hydraulic cutter. Stahl and MBO folders. Osako 10 station Saddle Stitcher. Job involved pre
and post press cutting operations including packaging, boxing, labeling, and palletizing finished product.
Also include pulling inventoried press stock and logging inventory into software tracking system. Forklift
operations on a daily basis. Laid off due to reduction in force because of slowing economy.

Bindery Equipment Operator, December 2003 - June 2008
Stahl and MBO folders. Mueller Saddle Stitcher. Envelope inserter. Mail coding and sorting. Delivery
Driver, 24ft Mutsubishi cab-over straight box, 24,000GVW. Forklift Operator. Warehouse operations
included storage of customers pre-printed stock which was palletized and racked for future use. Inventory
software system used to track location and quantity of stock. Job also involved shipping and receiving
duties. Left to take job offer from Alexander Clark Printing.

Press Operator, September 2002 - June 2003
Set-up and operate 2-color Hamada 600 CD press printing various custom work. Job also includes all
phases of bindery work, stripping and pre-press. Job ended because business was sold and liquidated.

Press Operator, June 1999 - September 2002
Set-up and operate two different sheet-fed presses. Some 4-color process work using 1-color press
equipment. Printed various custom work. Relocated to Boise for family reasons.

Part-time Cincinatti Millicron Machine Mill Operator, October 2001- March 2002
Operated and loaded and unloaded CNC machine mill. Inspected and packaged parts for shipment.

Responsible for running a press and various other machines in the shop doing various custom work.
Forklift operator. Left because of reduction in force.

Supervised 12-man crew, checked finished work for quality and accuracy, also filled out shift
production reports. Ran six-color Hamilton web press, printing checks and bank forms. Ran a two-color
Heidelberg SORM imprinting forms. Forklift and clamp truck operations. Job ended because of plant
closure. I was offered a transfer to their St. Louis plant but declined because my family was local.
Education and Training
Specialty Training - Waste reduction techniques, run-time percentage increase training.
Worked as a make-ready specialist, which involved assisting other operators in reducing set
up time. Cross training in machine shop learning repairs and maintenance of multiple types of
shop machinery.
