OBJECTIVE: I have been in the laboratory field for 20 years. I started as a

duties as called upon. Lake Martin Community Hospital is a 35 bed rural

hospital. The lab is certified by CLIA.

calibration review, purchasing new analyzers, working closely with vendors

to maintain the best quality products at the most economical pricing,

adding new tests, communication with physicians and administration. This

lab was totally reliant on a paper system. I initiated the implementation

work stations in the lab.

I was on several hospital committees.

I taught a course in the hospital QA program.

Pregnancy testing and rapid Strep. All other test were transported to NHL's

main lab for testing.

A LIS was in place for the accessioning and retrieval of patient test

information.

Upon the buyout between another lab and NHL, the stat lab was downsized to

a phlebotomy station and I was laid off, with references.
