ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER, Inside Electro-Chromatic Mirrors
• Managed teams of engineers and manufacturing engineering technicians that provided project support, managed
process control, and performed changeovers. Managed additional maintenance and facilities personnel
depending on process or project needs. Reported to Director of Operations .
• Re-engineered, managed focus factory process producing 50,000 inside EC mirrors per week with 150
employees across three shifts. Responsible for all new equipment procurement, yield improvement activities, new
product and process development implementation for inside Electro-Chromatic (EC) mirrors.
• Launched BZI (Blind Zone Indicator) and IBZS (Integrated Blind Zone Spotter) mirrors, both new technologies
viewable on Mazda 6 Sedan and Ford Edge SUV, respectively. Responsible for the development and
implementation of the related focus factory manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Developed several assembly and inspection processes that were patented by Magna Mirrors.
• Built custom laser systems, ultrasonic component bathing systems, robotic pick and place systems, product
conveyance systems, manual inspection stations, fully automated camera inspection stations, custom vacuum
baggers and custom central vacuum systems, custom LED UV curing systems, robotic glue dispense system, and
assembly lines.
• Designed and implemented several key plant layout changes to accommodate increased production output, often
under tight time constraints.

PROJECT ENGINEER, Automotive, Furniture, and Consumer Goods
• Had full engineering authority for the launch of three programs for Johnson Controls, including an overhead grab
handle assembly, a detenting visor component, and a locking seat rail component. Responsible for the
implementation of new processes, the design and fabrication of equipment, and the continuous improvement of
production lines.
• Responsible for the production launch of a $6.5 million dollar Chrysler/Dodge grab handle program. Product
viewable on the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum.
• Provided engineering troubleshooting and launch support to 11 different product lines.
• Responsible for over $500,000 in cost reductions through cycle time reductions, process changes, and quality
improvements.
• Developed and initiated engineering program for recent engineering graduates and engineering co-op students to
further develop their skills as engineers and business professionals.
