I am a viable candidate with a vast array of work experience. My professional tenures have run the gamut from
intern to executive leadership, which gives me a broad and inclusive perspective of all levels of an organization.
This hybrid work experience and education is especially beneficial since it allows me to have acquired an

Ensured that the day to day management of several agencies’ administrative, fiscal, legal objectives,
treatment objectives, counselor related objectives and community related collaborations and partnerships
were created, amended, and enforced as outlined by the organizations’ missions and strategic plans.

an intricate client/counselor/interpreter/ in house client database AND external financial system that
encompassed over 300 variables inclusive of 27 counties within the state of South Carolina.
Presented as a Guest Speaker/Panelist/Alternate Counselor in over 200 settings to train and enlighten
various audiences on a host of issues as they pertained to the constituency being served.
CLIENT AND CONSTITUENCY ADVOCACY
Responsible for meeting with appropriate lobbyists or interest groups that proposed legislation that would
adversely affect counties represented by State Senator and formulating acceptable solutions to the dilemma (s)
involved, while working at the South Carolina Senate.
Trained multidisciplinary audiences regarding clients’ pathologies and needs while working with various at
risk populations.
Provided realistic and cost effective measures to address and provide favorable outcomes for the
aforementioned issues and other ancillary issues.

Legal and Judicial Administration and Training
Prepared motions, affidavits, pleadings and other legal documents for family court pertaining to the
entire legal process surrounding the preservation and termination of parental rights of clients under the
South Carolina’s Department of Social Services.
Compiled statewide and nationwide data to aid in the composition of new laws and the interpretation of

Participated in statewide trainings of judges, lawyers, counselors, medical personnel, law enforcement,
educators, clergy, parenting agencies, teen groups and other community groups, instructing audiences in
the arenas of domestic violence, sexual assault, at risk populations behavior, as they pertain to the legal

aid in the successful transition into the collegiate forum.
Directed and monitored all federal grant expenditures, final research projects, human resources, staff
management via university policies, practices and procedures while working as a graduate assistant and as
director of VSAC.
Program Development and Management
Created new database encompassing in excess of 300 variables tracking all elements and variables of
South Carolina’s largest certified batterer treatment agency.
Assisted in the evaluation of female batterers and presentation of this data with published researcher.
Evaluated Spanish Speaking clients in group counseling setting and addressed challenges of adequately
serving them by aiding them in receiving appropriate community resources designed for these purposes.
Developed stricter agency standards not encompassed in state licensing standards to enhance, clarify
and promote professionalism and prevent any potential issues that could become a liability to the agency.
Developed mandatory multidisciplinary statewide trainings for licensed professional counselors and
social workers for effective implementation of nationally approved group treatment curriculum, gain
feedback pertaining to work issues, and stress importance of mission, policy and procedures of the agency
and state law.
Community Education and Collaboration
Provided clear, concise and consistent communication among all relevant entities. Sought out
partnerships and collaborations with over 150 related agencies (encompassing entire work history) that
enhanced the missions of the organizations of which I was a member.
Promoted local and national partnerships with social service, law enforcement and schools(high school and
college) by soliciting opportunities to speak with appropriate leaders, attending national conferences and
meetings with other federal, state and local sister agencies to address issues of teen violence and domestic
violence.
Participated on numerous local panels and task forces to provide feedback and procure productive measures
from other leaders that would aid in providing more effective representation for all clients involved.
Marketing and Sales
Instrumental in securing state election win for a 35 year veteran Senator acting as his campaign manager for 5
county region represented by candidate.
Increased revenue and number of client referrals by approximately 40% by convincing judges, lawyers,
educators, law enforcement, social workers, counselors, clergy, victim advocates, professional volunteers,
medical personnel and a host of other community organizations to utilize counseling education services of the
Domestic Abuse Center.

Marketed and sold the Southern Region Violence and Substance Abuse Prevention Center's youth curriculum
to over 100 high schools in South Carolina to aid in the reduction of teen violence.
Recruited and trained over 200 hundred professional volunteers, thereby persuading them to commit to 6 weeks
of training and 1 year of public service by advocating for at risk youth while employed by
C.A.S.A. of Baltimore City.
