I am a former public parks and recreation professional with extensive

experience working for a large metropolitan multicultural city. I have an

excellent track record in federal grant writing, personnel management,

project management, office management, planning and public relations. In

addition, my employment with a large public school district developed my

skills and experience working with school children and their parents,

school administrators and faculty members. My current job with a federal

contractor engaged in commercial landscape management at Ft. Bliss, Texas

has offered invaluable experience in the areas of property management and

contractor-tenant relations. As a supervisor for the Emilio Fernandez

Workshop I was trained to work in the mental health and occupational

therapy field.

reports plus bilingual English/Spanish correspondence regarding

project improvements and program changes.

. I met regularly with parents, teachers, and school administrators to

discuss student progress, disciplinary issues, and program goals.

. I collaborated regularly with other agency officials, citizen groups,

contractor representatives, as well as other City officials.

. I requested & received budget increases for special projects,

equipment, and employee training.

. During a three year period as a grant writer I successfully

researched and submitted HUD Community Development Block Grant

applicationss resulting in over $21-million for capital improvements

on public parks.
