Angelique Guild

Supporting the work of Holy Family Services Adoption & Foster Care

April 4, 2011

Subject: Letter of Recommendation – Susan E. Wallace

Dear Sir or Madam:

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation. Susie

Wallace has been a valuable member of Angelique Guild for more

than 20 years. As a means of introduction, our volunteer group is

made up of Orange County-wide mothers, daughters and

granddaughters whose fundraising e orts benefit Holy Family

Services Adoption & Foster Care. Founded in 1969, we currently

have more than 120 active members.

Throughout her years of membership, Susie has demonstrated

tremendous commitment to Angelique Guild’s fundraising e orts

by serving the organization in a number of ways. She accepted an

executive leadership role to become an o ficer of the guild, serving

for two terms as Recording Secretary. She has also volunteered her

time and organizational skills as a past chairman of our annual

major fundraiser, a yearly fashion show and luncheon. In that

capacity, Susie was responsible for supervising and coordinating

the actions of committee heads, tracking their activities to assure

the successful completion of assigned tasks according to an

established time-line and to act as Angelique Guild’s front-line

representative to facilitate partnerships with the fashion retailers

for the event. In this particular task, her competent and

professional demeanor – along with her warm and cheerful attitude

– proved to be very valuable assets. Under Susie’s guidance, the

fashion show was a great success, achieved with charm and grace –

no mean feat when you are directing a room full of all-women

volunteers!

Susie has also co-chaired the guild’s annual summer fundraising

event and holiday luncheon/annual meetings in the past. She, her

co-chair and committee planned and successfully executed these

multiple events, each attended by more than 75 members and

guests.

Susie’s many contributions to Angelique Guild are noteworthy to be

sure. Knowing her capabilities in the volunteer arena, I would

highly recommend her as an employee who could transition the

same intelligence and self-starting initiative to the public/private

sector. These same commendable attributes that have marked her

association with Angelique Guild would also make her an excellent

employee candidate in any industry.

Sincerely,

Kathy Burchardt
