In charge of starting a satellite office for Western States.
Duties included:
Choosing and appointing a select group of agents to handle the

Accompanying loss control representatives, claims representatives
and agents with visits and correspondence to key accounts.
Underwriting responsibility included the underwriting for the
largest key Western States agent.
Monitoring agent requests and correspondence.
Insuring that appropriate pricing levels and commission goals were

Responsible for the management of a Denver satellite office.
Handling the states of Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and New Mexico.
Marketing duties included:
Appointing new agents.

Administered TIG "Select Workers' Compensation" program through
this general agency. Was outsourced to this position by TIG when
they essentially closed their doors in the state of Colorado.
Totally responsible for maintaining a book of 1200 insureds
equating to $12,000,000 in premium. Underwrote new business
submissions, reviewed renewals, processed new business and
endorsements, and communicated with agents.

Involved with the marketing and implementation of TIG's workers'
compensation template program. Duties included:
Presentations to agency force.
Performing on-site training classes.
Quoting accounts both onsite and in office.
File reviews for agencies.
( Involved with the implementation of the "Farming Program."
Responsibilities included giving group marketing presentations to
agents.

Held the position of the only dedicated assistant assigned to all
voluntary workers' compensation business. Responsibilities were:

Calculating experience summaries
Reviewing application for appropriate classification assignments
Processing new and renewal business and endorsements.

Analyst III
Answered complex questions from underwriters, auditors, insureds
and the Colorado Department of Insurance regarding NCCI manual
rules, classifications, experience ratings and ownership.
Assigned workers' compensation classifications to over 2000
Colorado business audits.
Assisted in a study determining the reasons for Colorado's high
construction workers' compensation costs by researching
the various histories of classifications, determining premium
volumes for specific classifications, and analyzing audits
gathered on over 200 construction companies.
Wrote the description of Code 8277-"Horse Jockeys", which is
published in the NCCI Scopes Manual of Basic
Classifications.
