ship's weapons systems and support equipment to effect improvements in

reliability, maintainability, and availability. In association with the

Engineering Branch evaluated and documented detailed data analysis of

weapon systems testing (failure rate), problematic maintenance issues and

acquisition requirements. Prepared reports/presentations detailing ship's

Naval Base Ventura County, Aircraft Target Maintenance Office

Accountable for management of a Material Control Center that encompassed a

revolving support equipment inventory valued at $5M yearly and for the

$2.5M Aviation Depot Level Repairable Component Management Budget. Oversaw

the Packing, Handling, Shipping & Transportation of departmental assets

within the CONUS and OCONUS deployments; in addition to management of a

Supply Support Programs for remotely controlled Full-Scale Aerial Target

Systems (QF-4N & QF-86F aircraft) and related weapon systems. As the lead

Equipment Specialist I trained and mentored junior specialist, prioritized,

executed, monitored all project tasks, and advised Division Head, Program

Manager, and Engineering Branch on all significant supply chain &

maintenance support issues.

Performed special studies involving Equipment/Material Utilization Trend

Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Stock Levels Analysis which increased

supply support effectiveness by 90 %. Discussed alternative sources of

supply support with the program manager, engineers, defense contractors,

and made approved revisions on maintenance plans, work request procedures

to expedite the repair & return, and overhaul of critically needed

unserviceable assets. Ensured information accuracy by utilizing electronic

. Managed a $ 25M Naval Industrial Fund warehouse containing sponsor owned

materials. Inventory consisted of nearly 10,000 repairable and consumable

line items (kitting) with minimum shortages or stock excesses.

. Serve as the focal point for internal plant property management, bi

annual/annual inventory cycle counts, and accountability procedures.

Redistributed or disposed of unusable, obsolete, and Beyond the

Capabilities Maintenance components and equipment through the Defense

Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMO).

. Saved the Navy thousands of dollars in support equipment losses by

implementing a strict Equipment Test & Metrological (Calibration)

Program, ensuring prompt identification, custody assignment, and support

equipment repair &return.

. Empowered the Division to achieve 100% maintenance/supply readiness by

identifying requirements for funding, manpower, and services through

sound timely advice to branch and department managers interested in

affects on current/forecasted trends and changing mission needs.

. Executed a full range of supply and maintenance support activities,

including but not limited to processing daily transactions for tracking

the repair & return of retrograde components, ensured that strategic

initiatives were met, cost center analyses, purchasing, expediting,
