Terminal Agency Coordinator –

Serve as liaison between Texas Department of Public Safety/ FBI and the Plano Police

Department for all TCIC/NCIC related matters. Duties include keeping TCIC/NCIC

training records, monitoring bi-annual re-testing for TCIC/NCIC for all PD operators,

designating and monitoring TLETS workstations assignment and installation, ensuring

compliance with FBI security policy regarding NCIC, monthly validations, and running

daily quality control reports for NCIC.. Other duties also include Records functions such

as transcribing offense reports and supplements dictated by officers into Records

Management System (RMS). Also data enter warning notices into RMS and process

background check for Taxi permit applicants.

Plano Police Department June 2006 to November 2007

Police Records Assistant- transcribe offense reports into Records Management System

(RMS); data enter traffic accidents and warnings into RMS; perform front

counter/;window duties including customer assistance and filling accident report

requests; perform TCIC/NCIC validations on a monthly basis to verify entries and

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department September 1997 to April 2006

Sheriff’s Records Officer I- Alarm Bureau (Feb 05 to April 06)- Assess fines

for excessive false alarms in accordance with the Alarm Ordinance. Process fine

payments and document accordingly; initiate and follow through with collection of fines.

Make telephone/ written contact with chronic violators and their alarm companies in an

effort to eliminate further violations. Educate public in alarm usage and false alarm

consequences; respond to public inquiries regarding permits and fine assessment,

troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Represent alarm bureau in court proceedings

for chronic offenders or non-payment.

Sheriff Record’s Officer I- Information Services Bureau (Feb 02- Feb 05)

Served as Agency Terminal Coordinator (ATC) acting as liaison between the Sheriff’s

Department and the California Department of Justice to ensure compliance with all State

and Federal regulations for the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications

Systems (CLETS) and FBI/NCIC computer systems. Responsible for setting up and

maintaining computer terminals, laptops, and various technical equipment with law

enforcement systems such as CLETS, NCIC, DMV, Cal-Photo. Issued passwords, issued

and maintained training records for department employees on each system. Also served

as County Control Agency, responsible for maintaining and enforcing systems for all

outside law enforcement agencies that run through the Sacramento County CLETS

switch. Provide direction, assistance, and training for setting up their terminals and

following guidelines. Strong organizational skills and trouble shooting skills to assess

problems with users or systems to keep terminals/operators functioning on 24 hour basis.

Sheriff Record’s Officer I- Main Jail (July 2001 to Feb 2002)

Promotion to Records Officer, assigned to Main Jail. Primary responsibilities include

working Central Control, which coordinates movement of employees and inmates within

a secure facility through computer systems and radio traffic. Also working in the Cashier

office that handles multiple types of cash transactions, bond outs, cash bails and inmate

release files. Other responsibilities included Cal-Id and the Release Office that verifies

fingerprints and id problems and final procedures before inmates were released. Also

processed inmate bookings and working the intake windows, answering public and bond

phone lines when needed.

Sheriff’s Records Clerk II- Records Bureau (September 1997 to June 2001)

Primary responsibility was processing radio and telephone requests in a timely manner

for officers in the field, other SSD departments, and outside agencies using the

CJIS/CLETS/NCIC systems. Additional responsibilities included processing crime

reports, supplemental reports, data entry, sending and receiving teletypes, and processing

report copy requests. This position required strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize

assignments, and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, as well as the

ability to work efficiently with other shift employees and with minimal supervision.

Primary responsibility was to function as part of a clerical unit for approximately 24 in a

training bureau. This comprised of processing requests for word processing, copying,

telephone reception, and sorting bureau mail. Various duties also included ordering and

maintaining bureau and training supplies, compiling training manuals, and setting up

rooms/modules for training and lectures. This position required the ability to handle

multiple tasks and the ability to take initiative in all tasks to ensure preparation and set up

for training was complete.

Document Control Clerk

Primary Responsibility was processing in house engineer requests for drawings and

documents, as well as handling customer drawing packages for special projects. This

included handling requests generated through the company mainframe as well as counter

requests. All drawings and documents were pulled, reproduced, and checked for

legibility. This also included updating revised documents and maintaining the document

vault, which housed over 80,000 drawings. This job required special attention to detail,

heavy filing, and working with special equipment to reproduce documents.
