OBJECTIVE
Obtain position where individual with comprehensive knowledge of land
management, extensive and diversified oil and gas experience (leasing,
contracts, drilling curative and acquisition and divestiture due
diligence) in most U.S. Basins will contribute to company growth and
ensure effective inter-departmental relationships.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
* Coordinated and supervised from a land standpoint (lease acquisition,
title examination, curative, damage settlement and gathering right-of
way), the drilling of 225 coalbed methane wells in Southeast Kansas.
Supervised contract land crew of six brokers and one crew chief. Due
diligence on four production acquisitions and lease acquisition
packages.
* Co-authored complete program for establishing, structuring, staffing,
and administering, to include budgeting, a Federal Housing program for
the State of Oklahoma. Agency exists today as model for State Housing
Finance Agencies. Area of operation covered all 57 counties in state
and had twenty five employees.
* Participated/coordinated numerous asset acquisitions and divestitures
to include sale of private company in which sales price was maximized
by incorporating graduated oil price benchmarks

EMPLOYMENT
Jul 2010- Present: Meridian Energy Corp. Landman: Prepare abstracts and
run title for lease acquisition and title opinions for Marcellus shale
play, Pennsylvania. Identify potential title deficiencies to include split
minerals and reservations. Cure title defects associated with leased
properties.
2005-Apr 2010: Sefton Resources, Inc. VP Land, Legal and Business
Development: Coordinated acquisition and conducted due diligence to
include existence of valid Right-of-Ways for three gathering
systems/pipelines. Acquired 40,000 acres in CBM play in Forest City Basin.
Monetized Company assets by coordinating sale of real property to Cell
tower company. Addressed shareholder questions and coordinated investor
relations. Director for Public Company.
2002-2005: Land Consultant, Dart Oil and Gas/ Dart Cherokee Basin:
Supervised contract landmen (Crew chief and five brokers) directly
responsible for acquisition of new leases; coordinated preparation of
title curative, damage settlement and surface use documents and agreements
in support of drilling 225 coalbed methane wells in Southeast Kansas.
Supervised the acquisition of four producing properties and non-producing
lease assets.
2000-2001: Land Manager/Senior Landman; Fruehauf Production Co./HRF:
Responsible for the management of the company's land position and
represented the Company with industry partners, government agencies and
landowners. Supervised two Landmen, three Lease Analysts and a Division
Order Analyst. Initiated and supervised the computer conversion of the
company's land records. Negotiated and prepared all contracts and provided
legal support/liaison with outside attorneys. Coordinated land operations
in support of drilling Antrim Shale Units.
1999-2000: Senior Landman, Whiting Petroleum. Responsible for leasing,
contract preparation (farmouts and divestures) and administration for
assigned area. Reviewed and prepared "Sales Packages" for divestiture of
Company assets.
1997-1999: Land Manager, Conley P. Smith Operating Company: Responsible
for the management of the company's land position and represented the
Company with industry partners (participants in limited partnership
drilling programs), government agencies and landowners. Supervised a Lease
Analyst and a Division Order Analyst. Negotiated and prepared all
contracts and provided legal support/liaison with outside attorneys.
Additionally responsible for Gas Marketing and eventual sale of Company in
which sales price was maximized by incorporating graduated oil price
benchmarks.
1990-1997: Land Consultant, K-N Energy, Cabot Oil & Gas, UMC/Ocean Energy:
Coordinated land for increased density well program (regulatory
appearances) covering acreage that had split horizon production and
ownership.
1984-1990: Land Manager, Premier Resources. Responsible for the management
of the company's land position and represented the Company with industry
partners, government agencies and landowners. Supervised a Lease Analyst
and a Division Order Analyst. Negotiated and prepared all contracts and
provided legal support/liaison with outside attorneys. Negotiated
settlement of Safe Harbor Lease on sale of drilling rigs and negotiated
court settlement with drilling opportunity utilized in lieu of a million
dollar judgment/settlement. Acreage situated Mid-Continent (Oklahoma and
Texas) and Canada.
1981-1984: Land Manager, Flare Energy, Page Petroleum - Responsible for
the management of the company's land position. Consolidated assets
(physically and administratively) from four companies and integrated lease
records into single computer system. Directed the winding down and
liquidation of the Company assets.
1980 -1981 District Landman, K-N Energy - Supervised three landmen and
leasing/land crew of three for 100 well drilling program. Coordinated JV
with Champlin Petroleum that covered 500,000 acres. Responsible for
ensuring that all land and lease-related obligations and requirements were
satisfied. Implemented in-house oil and gas training program.
1978-1980 Landman, Cities Service - Contracts and Unitization, worked on
putting together Hartzog Draw Unit which resulted in the State of Wyoming
amending the unitization process. Prepared unitization paperwork for gas
recycling and secondary recovery units. One year in "Contracts" prepared
all contracts for five Districts.
1976-1978 Deputy Director, Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency. Prepared
paperwork to include budgets for recognition of agency as a State Housing
Authority and prepared operating procedures manual for administration of
housing subsidy program in 57 counties in Oklahoma. Hired and supervised a
complete staff of twenty five individuals and built an agency that became
the model for other states.
1967-1974: U.S. Army. Battalion Operations staff, Armor Company
Commander, Helicopter Pilot. Served one year Viet Nam.
