Objective
I would like to obtain a job that I can use my
skills and effectively build value not just for myself, but my
employer as well. I have been a dedicated employee with over
40 years of continuous employment. I was recently caught up in
a work force reduction, but am eagerly seeking employment to be
of value for my next employer.
Experience
Hewlett - Packard Customer Engineer October 1992-2010
- Global Installation and Implementation Organization in the
fall of 1992. The GIIO group eventually changed name to
Global Deployment Services (GDS).
- Responsibilities for new installations, add-ons, upgrades,
customer moves and special projects. Installation
responsibilities have been with Personal Computers, some
printers, HP-UX systems and Storage Systems. I have been
with the GDS group to current date. Current activities for
installation have been mainly with HP Blade Systems, Proliant
Servers, special installation project assignments and Legacy
system upgrades. Some duties have also included installation
of Ethernet and Fibre switches and verification/loading of
current firmware. Storage Arrays to include XP and EVA
arrays. I have currently been getting involved with smaller
storage system installations as well.
- Customer relocations have also been a large part of the GDS
business.

Skills
I am trained in many HP installation processes. Mainly installations
were my primary function along with verification/upgrades of firmware
and verification of operational status of equipment. If, for any
reason a repair was needed during the installation process, I took
care of managing the complete repair process. I have many customer
and communication skills. I have many computer skills that I have
been using and improving since 1979. I have basic Microsoft Office
skills (mainly Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio) that I have been using
for the past ten years. I am open for training to obtain skills to
better perform my job.
