efficiencies, which was implemented at 8 other locations.
-Lead transition to digital television in 68th market
-Reviewed, redesigned and implemented new internal controls
-Trained staff on the use of excel, outlook, and other various software
packages
-Facilitated employee incentives, which increased morale and employee work
ethic, which resulted in increased revenues
-Streamline the HR process by implemented new HR online system. This
included access to their job requirements, annual reviews, and self-
evaluations and allowed them to change their exemption status, print copies
of their check stubs and W2's as well as request for time-off.
-Increased employee participation in 401k by 20%, buy providing routine
education to employees on the importance of saving for retirement.
-Reduced operating costs by 10-25% without change in the number of
employees or disruption to the operation of the business.
Here are some examples of how I reduced operating costs:
-Revamped entire employee benefit package. By increasing benefits to
employees; while reducing cost to both the employee and employer.
-Reduced AR collection days over 90 from an average of 10-15% to an
average of <5%, which substantially reduced bad debt and the fees for
an outside collection agency.
-Reevaluated, renewed and renegotiated contracts and leases, which
reduced cost and increased efficiencies to employer.
-Coordinated with sales managers on the use of optional inventory
through network affiliation and educated them how to sell the
inventory while still staying profitable.
-Redesigned the report format used internally to calculate sales
commissions, reducing human errors in calculations.
-Reduced expenses by decreasing the number of incoming phone lines
after monitoring telephone line usage over a period of time.
-Eliminated costs associated with transmitting signal thru fiber and
traced each fiber line to the appropriate provider and uncovered lines
that were installed many years ago but were not being used by the
recipient, as requested in joint contract. (Signal was being captured
over the air and fiber was not being used)
