Senior Application Developer – System Application Development
Manage all phase of Portfolio Evaluation System statement project developments and user requirements. Analyze
and recommend programs to handle files of front -end processes and solutions on new initiatives on process i m-
provement and technology. Resolve technical problems and capacity issues of the highest complexity. Assess user
needs and develop specifications; plan, estimate and implement projects from initial conceptual design thru coding,
final delivery and approvals.
Analyzed, coded and developed complex eNotification process for eDelivery group based on customer’s
enrollment status for paper suppression using COBOL, HP Exstream Dialogue, VSAM and sequential files .
Generated TLEs (Tagged Logical Element) with indicators. Data was generated in AFP™ format.
Converted Portfolio Evaluation System from MVS CSF to HP Exstream Dialogue for both desktop and
batch environments. Modified COBOL programs, COPYBOOKs, PROCS, JCLs, VSAM and Sequential
files, and Dialogue’s applications. Mapped data. Added new messages, components, pages, flow pages,
tables, formulas, rules, barcodes, pie charts, line charts, and ODBC data source Administrator for Dialo-
gue’s database DSNs using Microsoft Access driver and SQL server.
Coded and developed streams in Dialogue based on the customer, combined group, Registered Represent a-
tive, Electronic Document (Netx360), and CD-ROM. Streams were then sorted, logged and added to the
separator page/Banner page. Barcodes, sequence numbers and TLEs were also added on the repor ts based
on customer and combined group. Data was generated in AFP™ format.
Coded and developed a multi-user desktop-based repository for message text, which allowed user to load
messages in text format and trigger criteria in a user -friendly desktop environment. Uploaded database in-
formation from desktop to batch applications for batch run-time control message creation for individual
statements.
Analyzed and performed HP Exstream Dialogue release upgrade from 6.0.002 to 6.1.017 single handedly.
Solved issues related to the upgrade for fonts, headers and columns alignments, legends of bar chart and pie
chart and others. Generated XOBs for the vendor. Modified PROCs and JCLs. Performed internal user tes t-
ing for the approvals.
Coded, tested and supported FTP and NDM processes for Pershing’s external and internal vendor servers
for archiving (CD-ROM) and printing. Uploaded AFRREBLK program to reblock page segments. Used
APKACIF programs to generated indexed AFP™ and resource files.
Used PREVAIL and Report Center to maintain and keep track of various projects through out the full
Pershing project life cycle (PPLC). Supported and analyzed code and automated ABEND notification pr o-
cedures in production environment. Used ENDEVOR, SCCB, Unit Test Plan, Change Docume ntation and
peer reviews for modification and migration of code.

Deutsche Bank: Modified and generated investment account statements using MVS/CSF, CSF Wor k-
shop™. Built file hierarchy and DDL (Data Definition Library). Generated initial test data using test file
generator and file-aid options. Setup JCL for batch processing and printed statements in AFP format.
First Union: Generated account analysis statement using MVS/CSF. Analyzed, tested and debugged RDL’s
record entry errors using File -Aid options. Added new fields in COBOL output copybooks. Modified and
ran necessary jobs on the JCL stream.
Pomona First Federal: Analyzed, coded and generated credit-revolving statement using MVS/CSF. De-
bugged and tested COBOL source codes. Allocated and built VSAM files (DDL, ROC, FDL) using File -
Aid and IDCAMS option. Setup JCL for batch proce ssing and transferred files to the Xerox printer.
Bank of America: Worked with Year 2000 issues for the base and regression report. Compared both base
and regression report using Expeditor system. Made necessary changes in the COBOL source codes, Cop y-
books and IMS files.
Barnett Bank: Checked date fields related to Year 2000 issue. Logged fields that are expanded, but not date
field. Manually expanded date field in the COBOL source codes, Copybooks and IMS files.
