SELECTED CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Played a key role in growing Penguin Windows from $20M in annual sales in
2004 up to $56M in annual sales leading to recognition as 6th largest US
remodeling company by Qualified Remodeler Magazine.
Led Penguin Windows' efforts to survive the national economic recession of
2009 and 2010, which included implementing cost reductions and reducing the
monthly break even sales point by 42% (from $4M to $2.3M).
Increased shareholders' cash flow and reduced income taxes by structuring
the purchase of South Naknek Seafoods to allow Wards Cove's shareholders to
own the processing facility and lease it back to the company.
Increased the dividend participation percentage of Wards Cove from 8.8% to
43% by developing a preferred stock buy-back plan for Alyeska Seafoods,
Inc.
Initiated and negotiated new $42M financing for Wards Cove in 2001 that
replaced existing bank financing and allowed the company to continue
operations with more flexibility.
Negotiated and executed a $55M financing package for Wards Cove in 1999
that included a 7-year working capital commitment, a 10-year term loan, and
a capital improvement facility.
Successfully completed sale of Wards Cove's seafood processing business to
multiple buyers allowing pay-off of all liabilities while retaining
valuable investments in Pollock and crab vessels, real estate, and Alyeska
Seafoods.
Saved Alyeska Seafoods $5M+ in income taxes over 5-years by establishing a
Foreign Sales Corporation.
