February 2011 to present: Manager for Sister Jane in Topshop.
Job role is to manage the concession in Topshop, Manchester Arndale: to
oversee the daily running of the concession; check and replenish stock on
the shop floor; arrange courier deliveries; keep a record of weekly
figures; visual merchandising; liasing with the company manager and
designer; helping out Topshop and the other concessions when needed. The
most important part of my job is to check standards, in particular,
ensuring that the stock take is completed to a good standard.
July 2011: Bar Manager at ParkLife Festival & Kendal Calling
Managed a bar and staff at a festival event: this involved cashing up;
visual merchandising of stock; solving problems; being approachable for
staff and customers; communicating with the manager and other team members.
Effective running meant quick thinking to cover all eventualities.

November 2010 to April 2011: working at Warehouse Project Manchester
Job role was to serve drinks as quickly and efficiently as possible;
creating cocktails; working in the cloak room; clearing up before closing.
October 2009 to September 2010: Placement at Shop Direct Group for
Littlewoods & Very, as a Design Assistant
Duties involved creating trend boards, producing technical sketches,
rendering specifications to be coloured or used in trend packs and
assisting the designers. The time spent at Shop Direct was a varied and
full experience enabling me to design Knitwear, Maternity, Jersey and to
create prints.
July 2010: Personal Assistant and Runner at Shop Direct Product Conference
(4 days)
Assisted with the preparation of a fashion show for a Product Conference in
the Echo Arena; acted as a runner and as personal assistant to the creative
director.
October 2009: Assistant Pattern Cutter Chanticleer (2 weeks)
Work experience at Chanticleer bridal shop, as an assistant helping to
create patterns, working in the showroom, helping with fittings and helping
out in the NEC National wedding show.

Qualifications and awards
2007 - 2011: BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology, Manchester
University.
A 4 year fashion degree with a placement year. This course covered garment
construction, design, product development, illustration, pattern making,
marketing, textiles, CAD and business management. In my final year I
created a collection of 7 pieces which have been exhibited and are due to
go into a Graduate Fashion show.
2005 - 2007: Btec National Diploma in Fine Art, Cirencester College.
Units included painting and drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking,
textiles and fashion, photography, contextual studies and CAD.
