• Analysis and reconciliation of general ledger account balances including the preparation of
monthly journal entries and monthly accruals into Dynamics GP which insured a timely month-
end close.
• Assembled and issued reports on the capitalized software products to the Software Engineers
in a timely manner prior to their monthly review.
• Managed the Fixed Asset module, performing the Fixed Assets roll-forward monthly
depreciation, annual preparation of Section 179 for year-end tax purposes and the annual
filing of business property taxes for 4 locations. Throughout the year identified Fixed Assets
disposals by communicating with the heads of the IT and Administration departments for a
precise picture of all active fixed assets for annual budgeting purposes.
• Timely preparation of the Sales and Use tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis for 7
locations, as well as business license renewals for the same locations, resulting in zero
penalties.
• Administered the monthly accrual of the royalty revenue and applied payments as they were
received.
• On a monthly basis recorded project costs onto project summary reports in excel for all the
Business Development projects resulting in an accurate picture of the expenditures for each
project allowing Management to make a determination on the future of each project.
• On a weekly basis updated all engineering costs by job and reported the results to the
Engineering Department to ensure that the projects did not overrun their total costs.

• Responsible for the annual submission to the DCAA of the incurred costs calculations (fringe,
overhead and G&A) for the company’s Cost Plus Fixed Fee contracts resulting in the
establishment of final rates one month earlier than in previous years.
• Teamed with the Director of Finance in the preparation of the corporate tax return data
collection package which trimmed filing time of tax return by 2 months.
• Responsible for the calculation of the Research and Development tax credit which is part of
the tax return data collection package. Worked with the Project Team Software Engineers to
identify which projects could be considered for the tax credit. This effort secured (for the first
time) a successful audit of the R & D calculation.
• Directed various company audits, organizing data in a manner to insure swift audits.
• Responsible for the transmission of the employee’s biweekly 401k contributions. Provided
data for the preparation of the annual compliance test on the company’s 401k plan, leading to
the passage of the company plan each time.

• Responsible for the monthly closing, including generating the financial statements from
Costpoint and the recognition of revenue in a period of 3 days.
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts which included generating journal entries when
necessary.
• Involved in the billing of all types of government contracts out of the Costpoint Billing
Module, with sole responsibility for all final billings resulting in additional revenue to the
company.
• Executed the Daily Cash Position. Coordinated with the Accounts Payable Supervisor and
the Controller to insure an accurate image for cash management purposes.
• Performed the Company’s annual 401k Non-Discrimination data collect, transmitting the
information to Fidelity for testing resulting in the passage of the company’s 401k plan each
year.
• Executed, on an annual basis, the Company’s match and profit share contributions made
to each eligible employee.
• In a timely manner, prepared all Sales and Use tax returns on a monthly, quarterly and
annual basis.
• Assisted the Payroll Supervisor in the processing of the biweekly payroll and completing
the payroll journal. Also entered the labor hours into Costpoint and ran weekly labor reports
for all Project Managers to ensure that their projects did not overrun.
• Processed travel expense reports and assisted in the accounts payable department in the
absence of a co-worker to insure that all paperwork was processed in a timely manner.
