Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and purchasing all movie rental

product in 4,000+ retail locations in the U.S.

< Negotiated and maintained studio revenue share contracts for 7 "A"

movie studios as well as 40 secondary studios. These contracts

resulted in 220% additional units to stores while cutting costs by 23%

and increasing revenue by 15%. On an annual basis, these savings

equated to 20M additional units, while reducing costs by $125M and

increasing revenue by $200M.

< Managed 5 people in purchasing group responsible for all rental

content for 2nd largest video chain in the country, with annual

purchasing budget of $400M.

< Negotiated Marketing Development Funds with studios while managing the

Marketing Spend budget which exceeded $25M annually. Work with

Marketing on monthly studio promotions.

< Co-editor of in-store magazine with monthly circulation of 2M.

< Work with Internet Group to assure accuracy of content on site.

< Create and forecast annual product spending and budget for advertising

dollars from studios.

MANAGER OF STUDIO RELATIONS

1994 - 2006

Managed all aspects of Movie Studio relationships and responsible for all

New Release rental purchasing in 2,000+ locations in the U.S.

< Founded and headed New Release Buying Committee. Worked with IT group

to design buying models/programs for Like Title Buying Model to

purchase for ethnically diverse locations and upkeep demographic

profiles for each store to understand the genres that will be

successful in a given area. This committee and IT improvements

increased accuracy of purchases that equated to the savings of $30M

annually.

< Created purchase orders to all 60 studios for New Release rental

product. Approximately 2000 purchase orders created on an annual

basis.

< Fielded questions from store retail operations (2000+ locations)

concerning New Release rental product issues.

< Key contact to Distribution Centers concerning all shipment issues.

Worked on moving 3rd party distribution to direct ship. Resulted in an

annual savings of $2M.

< Responsible for gathering funds from studios for annual sales

meetings. Obtained $500K for 2005 meeting.

1990 - 1994

Opened and successfully managed 5 Oregon stores with annual revenue

exceeding $1M. New Release Rental Buyer for chain.
