I nternships/Research
- Center for Authentic Science Practice in Education (CASPiE)
o Worked with different food and drink products, experimenting to lower free
r adical counts in our desired food/drink. We practiced basic techniques that
were already known to lower free radical counts and compared with some of
our own experimental tests. We worked in groups and had a peer advisor to
help us in the r ight direction. We were also required to constantly take notes
and complete lab reports.
- In ternship at Tom Leaird’s Underwater Services
o Worked at the Local SCUBA shop as part of my internship through Ball State
U niversity. I helped in the store with customer service, filling air tanks,
loading t rucks with gear to be used in teaching. I also helped out at the pool
for the basic open water SCUBA class as an assistant.
