Project: SPC (Symantec Protection Center)

Symantec Protection Center is the next generation security management

platform for Symantec and third party security products. SPC manages all

security products via the Protection Center and one Symantec agent that

deliver all Symantec software to the end points (Workstations, Servers,

etc.).Symantic Protection Center contains various components like SPC

Server, Integrated Security Applications, Application on Data Collection

System, External Data Feeds, Reporting System, SPC Console, Real time

altering and monitoring. I worked on the component reporting System. In

reporting System the Symantec Protection Center collects data from all of

its integrated applications in near real time, and stores summary data in

the SPC CMDB and the full detailed data in event

archives on local disk. SPC users can generate up-to-date top-level reports

that contain consolidated summary data, and also create trend reports that

provide information across all of the integrated security applications for

a particular range of dates. Various reports generated by SPC users are

Missed Malware Report, Suspected Malware Report, Blocked Malware Report,

Malware Summary Report, Specific Machine Detailed Spec, Admin Audit Report,

and Specific Machine Report.

Responsibilities:

. Performed manual and Selenium testing for Symantec's web based

application.

. Developed and executed Manual Test Cases for SPC Reports viz. Blocked

Malware reports, Missed Malware reports to identify malware attacks.

. Developed Automated Test Scripts for SPC Reports viz. Suspected

Malware Reports.

shopping mall. In this project there were various users such as

administrator, staff and sales manager. The system kept record of all the

inventory items in the shopping mall. The information about all the items

was kept department wise viz. grocery, clothing, furniture, electronics,

books etc. The administrator could add, update, and delete the items of

inventory as per the need. The record for the stocks was maintained on

daily basis. This project handled all functions related to the tracking and

management of stock. It maintained the information of every supplier.It

updates the inventory items upon receipt of items after purchasing.

contained a Time Table Scheduling element in which the interface showed the

time table of the lectures. It showed day-wise schedule of lectures,

teacher wise schedule, combine class schedule, theory schedule, and

practical schedule. The element Training and Placement contained all the

information about the companies visiting to the college and the student's

record who will be appearing for the placements. The element Result

Analysis contained the reports of every student, their mark sheets, theory

marks, and practical marks. The element Attendance Records contained the

data about the student's daily attendance and with which daily attendance

can be easily maintained.
