• Investigating the interaction between anti-alcoholism drug abuse and normal aging
processes
• Design and Delivery of antisense nucleotides for knock-out of ALDH model both in vitro and
in vivo rat model
• Functional and proteomic analysis of alcoholic cardiomyopathy
• Developing and application of sensitive Reverse Phase – High Performance Liquid
Chromatography (HPLC) for an end-point measurement of drug action the level of
alcoholic-related metabolites.
2007-2008 (Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Drexel University)
• Applying various bioinformatics tools to design exon-skipping antisense oligonucleotides for
treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
• Developing and applying novel Nanopolymers for enhanced delivery of exon-splicing
oligonucleotides for treatment of DMD and SMA using germ-line knockout genetic mouse
models.
