Plant Operations Manager (2007 – 2012)
Plans and manages all operational activities within Area 10, CAMDS Closure, and GA/L including
decommissioning activities, construction and operation of new equipment in support of secondary
waste and GA/Lewisite destruction operations. Includes maintenance, monitoring/chemical
assessments, and all other activities for the Area 10/TOCDF facilities to ensure safe, compliant, and
productive operations. Develops, interprets and ensures compliance with established procedures for
plant operations and activities. Establishes priorities and makes specific assignments for direct
reports. Plans and manages processing functions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and
local regulations. Ensures that all processing activities are in compliance with permit requirements
and ensures that the necessary revisions are made to TOCDF procedures, policies, and plans as
necessary to maintain safe and healthy working conditions for TOCDF work site, to include Area 10
facility.

Managed operations crew in the mill department. Supervised the crushing, grinding and
leaching departments.
Autoclave and Refinery Supervisor (1992– 1996)
Managed overall operation in the pressure oxidation and refinery plant. Assisted in increasing
tonnage by 20% over design maintaining 90% availability. Helped in scheduling maintenance
and training new operators. Assisted in writing the operation procedures.
Mill and Autoclave Operator (1987– 1992)
Operated heavy equipment, crushers, loaders, etc. Assisted in the start- up and operation of
the pressure oxidation plant (Autoclave). Assisted maintenance in rebuilding high
pressure seals, pumps and boilers. Responsible for the operation and monitoring of high
pressure and temperature vessels, boilers and pumps, water softening, and oxygen systems.

Performed a number of different jobs which included cement and iron work, excavation, and
supervised a crew rebuilding and replacing boiler piping at Geneva Steel. Supervised crew in
