To: HR Manager
I am writing to express my interest in your company and to request to be considered for
future employment opportunities you may have. I am particularly interested in the areas of
quality control and production management.
As my resume will indicate, I have held increasingly higher levels of responsibilities
throughout my career and will continue to strive to do so. I consider myself to be very much
a hands-on supervisor who can lead and motivate employees to reach their full potential
while maintaining a harmonious work environment.
I currently serve as the Quality Control Manager for a plastic injection molding and mold
building company. We supply molds and molded parts to major electrical manufacturers
such as Eaton, GE, Siemens, and Emerson. We are also a Tier 2 supplier to the
automotive industry. In this capacity, I am responsible for internal and external audits,
corrective preventive actions, root cause analysis, resolution of customer complaints,
and maintaining ISO9001 registration. I am experienced in using the following quality
tools: Control plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEA, Gage R&R, GD&T,
Statistical Process Control, Mistake Proofing, Calibration control, and 6S.
In addition, I also serve as the Environmental Health and Safety coordinator for the plant. I
am responsible for safety training, hazard communication, waste disposal, and the company
recycling program. I have developed and implemented a fully compliant ISO 14001 EHS
system within the last year.
I enjoy learning and mastering new processes and then working to improve those
processes. I believe my experience and genuine enthusiasm for challenging work would
make me an immediate asset to your company. I look forward to meeting with you to further
discuss what I can offer you as a potential employee. Thank you for reviewing my resume
and good luck in all future business endeavors.
