BACKGROUND

manager and trainer in the US Army Corps of Engineer, ten

EXPERIENCE

2009 - Present Swim Coach - Vipers of Albuquerque Swim Team. Albuquerque, NM

Coach swimmers in a year round USA Swim certified program.. Maintain safety and teach all

strokes to standards of USA competitive swimming. Position requires excellent communication and

organizational skill, as well as leadership and training expertise. Design lesson plans for diverse skill

and age level programs, dramatically improving athletic performance. Assist athletes by providing

individualized instruction based on observation. Inspire and motivate young athletes in swimming

skills and competition.

2008 - 2013 NM Director of Development - The Adoption Exchange. Albuquerque, NM

New Mexico Director of Development responsible for all fundraising, marketing,

volunteer coordination and special events. Wrote grant proposals, newsletter articles

and support solicitations. Worked with funders and trained and scheduled volunteers.

• Successful fundraiser and special event coordinator growing the New Mexico office of a

non-profit

• Annual income from special events grew each year for the five year period.

• Successful events include a bicycle race and family ride, a benefit gala and a golf

tournament.

2007-2008 Advertising Sales – Accent Albuquerque Magazine, Albuquerque, NM

Sold advertizing on a strict commission basis for a monthly publication.

1997 – 2008 Business Owner – Independent Branch Leader. The Longaberger Company

Operated a successful home business for 11 years, working all aspects of sales, marketing, finance

and administration. Excellent phone and people, customer service and conflict resolution skills.

• Built a sales team of 12 and earned annual sales and recruiting incentives.
