Practice consists of two ophthalmologists and one optometrist. Helped start practice, including hiring staff, choosing equipment and training on EMR system. Experience with four different EMR products. Responsible for full-scope primary care, emergency patient care, contact lens fitting and management, surgical co-management. Coordinator of clinical research studies. Train technicians in optics, refraction and contact lens care. Participate in leadership team including strategic planning, marketing development and personnel management.
Before 2000
I worked in private optometric practice, Northport VA Medical Center, and in the contact lens industry where I coordinated clinical research studies and gave presentations all over the country on fitting contact lenses. I also set up a referral network between the optometrists in Suffolk County, NY and a local Ophthalmology practice.
