GOAL

I am seeking a position with an established organization to build on my event management

and database strategy experience. My ability to connect the dots across teams, my

proactive work ethic, and my creative eye creates positive results. I choose honesty and

team building over my own personal ambitions, and my unquestionable integrity simplifies

office politics and creates a productive, enjoyable work environment.

WORK EXPERIENCE

DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL, Indianapolis, IN - Manager of Event Operations

(2010), Public Relations (2011), Travel & Meetings (2012-2013)

• Managed the event planning process for DCI's 23 Premier Events and served as the

main point of contact for DCI staff, stadium officials, and volunteer groups at

stadiums such as the Alamodome and Georgia Dome.

• Reached new fans by initiating, building lists and posting show information on

hundreds of local web media event calendars in surrounding communities of Premier

Events.

• Provided toolkits to Local Organizing Committees to assist in promoting Premier

Events within the community; kits included flyers, press releases, and a top-ten

promotional idea list.

• Managed and mapped travel and meeting logistics for over 250 staff working 100+

events on the DCI Summer Tour, Annual Meetings and DCI Board Meetings each

year.

• Created air and ground travel plans, registration sites, and travel packets that

included all details of the event including site maps, signage placement, banner

layouts, corps lineups and step-off times, judge panels, day-of-event schedules, and

hotel and meal plans.

• Executed contract negotiations for DCI Premier Event stadiums, local organizing

committees, hotels, travel agencies, and show partners, and then reconciled

contracted terms against actual fulfillment for post season analysis and new season

preparation.

BEE WINDOW, INC, Indianapolis, IN - Director of Database Strategy (2006-2010)

• Responsible for all data integrity, I pulled front end marketing initiatives through

creative, web and traditional media, trade shows, inbound/outbound telemarketing,

purchased lead programs, sales, and accounting teams to ensure ROI.

• Working closely with the CEO and Internet Marketing Director, I helped launch a

successful “pay for performance” web advertising initiative to the local TV, radio, and

newspaper media that increased web revenue from $300k in 2007 to over

$2,500,000 in 2010 and led to the creation of a spin-off web marketing company,

Bring Me My Leads.

• Created and executed a three-year data strategy plan that moved a transactional

call center into a relationship-based, communications center.

• With existing hardware and software, streamlined call center processes, introduced

auto-triggered emails, and created a web source report that enabled BWI to set

measurable benchmarks for the life of the lead.

• Monitored incoming media leads and staff performance and adjusted ad placement,

retrained staff, provided incentives, and tweaked processes as needed to ensure all

goals were met or exceeded.

• Reconciled data monthly for employee payroll and media partner compensation.

AQUA SYSTEMS, Avon, IN - Manager of Telemarketing (2003-2006)

• Kicked off a successful telemarketing initiative that introduced outside sales leads to

an inside sales team.

• Set appointments, followed up behind sales teams, closed sales, and created sales

pipeline reports for upper management.

DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL, Lombard, IL - Coordinator of Marketing (1993-1995)
