Aircraft Service International Group – Philadelphia, PA August 2007 - Present
General Manager - Jet Fuel Facility
Directs the around-the-clock operation of the jet fuel facility at the nation’s 8th busiest airport, the Philadelphia International Airport. Responsible for the fuel facility systems and the receipt, storage, quality control, and accountability of 5.2 million gallons of stored jet fuel, receiving an average of 1.2 million gallons daily from suppliers and dispensing to airlines serving the airport. Develops and implements operating budget to maintain integrity of fuel facility systems and equipment to provide the airlines with over 433 million gallons of jet fuel annually. Leads, directs and supervises facility staff, administers the facility’s ISO 9001 quality management system and is responsible for the operation’s health, safety, security, and environmental programs.
● Designed and implemented a system of operational and fiscal controls to ensure that customer service levels, operational performance goals, and budget are continuously met within prescribed parameters. Consistently praised by senior leadership and governing board members for maintaining an exemplary operation, and within the approved budget.
● Developed and presented operating budget to 9-member airline governing board at annual budget meeting. Continually complimented by senior leadership, board members, and legal counsel for constructing the best budget, providing the best budget materials and making the best budget presentation they have seen.
● Played a key role in developing jet fuel sourcing strategy for the airlines by evaluating the existing logistics network, noting operational possibilities and constraints, and reviewing potential supplier contract proposals. Recommendations were included in jet fuel supplier contracts and was appointed as primary contact to represent the airlines for contract administration and oversight.
● Selected as primary interface with local community officials to present a $150 million construction project to local Zoning Board and Board of Commissioners on behalf of a 9-member airline fuels consortium, to gain their approval for the project. Approval for the project was granted.
● Provided project management and oversight for two major fuel system construction projects. Both projects were completed ahead of schedule with quality results, and within the approved budget.
