Hiring Director
College Scout
Dallas, TX
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to show my interest in applying for the position of College
Scout. Please find my attached resume. I have an extensive sales background
in financial services and software for Fidelity Investments and GlobalTec
Solutions as an independent contractor earning 100% commission. Before my
career got started I played baseball for Rockhurst University. While in
college I was a 4 year letterman and co-captain pitcher. Rockhurst was
nationally ranked in the top 25 for both NAIA and Division II while I
attended.
While working my full time position for Arbitron I am the head coach for
the McKinney Marshals 14u team, coaching them during the spring, summer,
and fall seasons. I also help the 4 high schools in Richardson, TX to build
up their programs by giving individual instruction to many of their
players, while also delivering instruction to many kids in the Dallas
surrounding areas.
Currently, I am the Senior Data Analyst for Arbitron Inc., the largest and
most prominent radio ratings company in the world. Currently, my
responsibilities are to oversee the Diary operations and provide feedback
around how we should conduct the survey based on the data put together and
delivered in verbal and/or written communication.
Prior to becoming an analyst, I was the Senior Site Manager for Arbitron
Inc., for the Dallas office. My responsibilities were to handle a call
center of over 200 employees, which demands the attention of my every move
and minute while in the office and out. I work well with people and thrive
on making the business run smoothly while working with different
departments to ensure success. On a day to day basis, I monitored the
implementation of Staffing, Training, Supervisor's, and Research Associates
(phone reps) to make sure we meet the calling strategies that most directly
affect Arbitron Inc's bottom line.
Prior to working at Arbitron I was a Sr. National Trainer for Wizetrade,
Options Made Easy, and 4x Made Easy. Instrumental with selling and
maintaining more than $3,000,000 in assets for GlobalTec Solutions and the
parent company, Dynetech Corporation in the past year. As an independent
contractor I was responsible for traveling the U.S. training and selling
additional software to individual clients in a classroom setting on how to
use GlobalTec Solutions trading software, over the course of 2-Days. I
delivered sales presentations to create interest in other software
packages. I personally coached these clients that purchased software during
my training classes to help gain confidence and success.
I have remarkable written and oral communication skills that allow me to
work with others in a timely and team oriented fashion. My experience as a
Baseball player, coach, manager, salesman, trainer, and independent
contractor have given me the opportunity to handle people and business
needs in a professional manner.
I am an excellent leader and self-starter and ready to take on the College
Scouting position. Do not hesitate to contact me, and I look forward to
hearing from you and putting my experience in sales, coaching, playing
experience, and managing departments to practice for you.
Respectfully,
Joe Griffin
