. Management of the Global Antarctic Equipment Fleet totaling 1000
units with a value over $140 million for the National Science
Foundation. Equipment includes: All wheeled and tracked heavy
equipment, construction support equipment, heavy snow removal
machinery, buses, light watercraft, and all aircraft ground
support equipment. Provide oversight and coordination between
operations, construction, and science support functions to ensure
successful completion of all projects. This covers operations in
the Continental United States, Antarctic Continent, South America,
and New Zealand.
. Development and implementation of comprehensive Fleet Management
and Maintenance Management Plans across functional areas to
increase equipment reliability and longevity for all worksites
based on the South Pole model, increasing equipment availability
from 65% to 91%.
