Summary

With years of experience in the custom manufacturing industry, I have encountered and resolved numerous

application issues for clients (and in house production) utilizing both material and process solutions. As a

purchasing manager I have established very good relationships with vendors, and worked with them to reduce

costs through pricing agreements and product consolidation.

I am a self motivated individual with a strong attention to detail. I have excellent written and verbal

communication skills, with the ability to coordinate staff, materials and equipment to meet deadlines, and take

customer ideas from concept to completion.

I'm very knowledgeable in graphic design, print production and MS Office software, including:

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Labeltraxx/Screentraxx print management software, Seradex

ERP software, and Programmed Solutions/EFI print production software.

I am also trained in Lean & Six Sigma administration and manufacturing processes, as well as ISO 9001:2008,

and U.L./CSA compliance and documentation.

September 2008 - March 2013 (4 years 7 months)

• Worked with vendors to reduce costs.

• Using Lean practices, reduced WIP inventory over a 3 month period by 35%, which in turn reduced on

hand inventory by $500,000.

• Reduced Purchasing vs. Sales spending from a high of 42% to 28%, improving cash flow without

impacting production.

• Wrote the scope of work and coordinated with the ERP software provider and internal IT Dept. for a real

time wireless barcode inventory control system.

• Provided and coordinated training for inside/outside sales and CSR staff on the latest material advacements

and marketing trends in printing, via presentations and on site vendor visits.

• Maintained U.L. compliance through documentation and on site audits.

• Provide estimates for single and multi-process printing methods; using EFI Programmed Solutions software

• Reduced purchasing costs from 30% of total overhead to less than 19%

Medal)

• Participated in operation ‘Fiery Vigil’, evacuating survivors of Mt. Pinatubo eruption in the Philippines,

Using Lean and 6 Sigma practices, a goal was set to reduce the company's WIP and Raw Inventory by 10% in

a 3 month test.

After the first month the total WIP + Raw Inventory was reduced by 7.7%, by the second month WIP alone

had been reduced by 41%, and by the third month WIP + Raw Inventory had been reduced by 35.4%.
