2nd and 3rd shift Sports Medicine Production Supervisor, (05/2010 -
02/2012)
Managed 36 Team Members over two shifts for Sports Medicine Division
involving lathes, injection molds, Precision Etch, EDM Wire and assembly of
product. Meeting Company metrics in safety, quality, production and
delivery. 5S Champion in continuous improvement. Led Kaizan events in
time management, production flow thus eliminating defects and bottlenecks.
Managed training of Team Members ensuring they understood process specs
that they were following SOP's for product blueprint. Seeing to gauges
being up-to-date on calibration, ordering repair or replacement gauges when
needed. Verifying inventory levels for tools, gauges, raw material was
correct. Other responsibilities included interviewing, hiring and
corrective action of Team Members. Coaching and working with Team Members
in honing their skills and growth in order to become a greater asset for
Biomet. 8 Team Members were able to take on higher level careers within
Biomet under my watch...

Managed the 2nd shift Corn Department, running 3 taco lines, 2 chip lines,
and the corn cook area, meeting the highest safety and quality standards.
Measured product density, moisture content, and salt absorption during each
production run. Responsible for production, quality, filling production
orders, determining manpower needs, accurate reporting, problem-solving,
ensuring all machinery is performing to the highest standards. Other duties
included safety training, counseling personnel, training/retraining, and
promoting personnel. Required knowledge of HAACP, YUM, FDA, BSI, and AIB.
Key accomplishments included:
. Won the safety standards award among all shifts for the year.
. Shared in earning the Supplier of the Year Award from YUM. This award
is based on quality of product, HACCP, and meeting customer

recognized for this achievement.

. Led team in Value Steam Mapping to begin Altivity growth into lean

support for 400 cardiac stress machines and supporting peripherals.
Coordinated the installation of network mini-pack systems in
cardiology/radiology departments, implemented software upgrades, firmware
fixes, and shareware updates on Kodak devices. Trained hospital personnel
on these devises.
Key accomplishments include:
. Coordinated onsite installation of cardiac devices and supporting
devises, never missing our 'go live' agreements.
. Instrumental in gaining a new client who had purchased competitor's
equipment, which had failed and resulted in lawsuits. Retrieved lost
