I supervised and provided technical assistance to adjudicators evaluating disability claims for the Social
Security Administration program. I planned & directed the activities of disability evaluation units.
Provided and ensured a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. Established and
evaluated efficiency of staff and work flow. Ensured staff compliance with state and federal goals and
requirements including privacy laws and regulations. Compiled, collated, & analyzed data and prepared
reports to identify problems or trends. Participated in policy and procedures formulation and maintained
a mastery of such regulations. Responsible for my own travel and the travel of my staff. I continued to
perform similar duties as the disability claims adjudicator on a supervisory level. Handled payroll and

Works under general supervision and requires considerable knowledge of Social Security Administration
rules and guidelines in order to develop, analyze, and adjudicate initial and reconsideration claims for
Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income disability benefits. Uses
numerous investigative tools and problem solving skills to investigate claims. Contacts claimants, third
party witnesses, and medical examiners. Reviews thousands of pages of medical records each week and
carefully documents and weighs all of the evidence. Makes assessments regarding to loss of functioning.
Determines length of disability period. The adjudicator makes swift decisions daily and takes appropriate
actions as necessary.
