Skills:
Microbiology Department: have an excellent knowledge of clinical bacteriology and able to distinguish
between normal flora and pathogenic organism. Expert in blood cultures, urine cultures, and stool culture.
Mastered rapid antigen testing such as rapid Strap testing, colt blood, Familiar with Siemens Walkaway,
micro-scan walk away and Versa Track (blood culture)
Immunology Department: Mastered protein electrophoresis, high resolution electrophoresis, ELISA
Assay. Expert in ANA testing using Florence microscopy, antigen testing such as: RPR, Rubella and
Rheumatoid factors. Trained on Siemens BN II (instrument) used for the testing cardiac marker C3b
complement component, immunoglobulin testing.
Blood bank: haven a brilliant knowledge of high frequency antibody screen and identification, expert in
major cross match, minor cross match, DAT testing, RhIg dosage calculation expert in resolving ABO Rh
discrepancy. Expert in using solid phase and Echo Galileo for the detection of antibody and type and
screen DAT and cross match, sickle cell screening.
Chemistry Department: have an excellent theoretical and analytical knowledge of different test and
assay use for diagnoses, such as chemiluminescence, nephelometry, spectrophotometer, High power
liquid chromatography (HPLC). Trained on Siemens vista dimension, Siemens 1800, Siemens Centar II,
and Tosho ( HPLC). Expert with urine osmolarity, blood lead levels, RBC Folate and HIV testing using
Western blot and PCR, Hepatitis testing, glucose testing, sweat chloride.
Hematology Department: expert in CBC (manual and automated ), Flow ctyomtery, Urinalysis,
coagulation tests (pt, ptt Vwf, etc), assisted in several bone marrow biopsy. Expert in distinguishing
normal cells from abnormal cell Trained on Simens Advis, Simens Atlas, and Stag Star (coagulation)
Computer skill: familiar with Siemens Novis, Meditech, Wyngate. Heave extensive knowledge with
Microsoft office and can easily troubleshoot Microsoft windows ( anytype )
