Mobile crisis counselor for Centre County, PA, working for UCBH. Responded to calls to the county
CAN-HELP hotline and performed verbal crisis de-escalation and level of care and safety assessment on
site at clients’ residence or at local emergency room. Includes a wide variety of presenting concerns and
clientele demographics. Resulting level of care recommendations varied in increasing intensity from
outpatient referrals, to partial hospitalization programs, to voluntary inpatient commitment, to involuntary
inpatient commitment. Additionally assisted in biannual CIT crisis response and verbal de-escalation
training for local police and emergency responders.

Alternative, and Junior High Schools
Responsibilities included individual counseling on a walk-in and week-to-week basis, attending SAP
meetings, program support and development, attending teacher meetings, assisting with standardized

facilitating and co-facilitating SAP student groups. Particular counseling focuses included work with
students of parents with substance abuse concerns, anger management, family issues and bullying groups,
