Administrative

Provided Administrative supervision of 400+ bed Level II Trauma Center responsible for

administrative supervision of >200 employees in fast paced environment. Duties included

staffing, scheduling clinical education, support and initiation of disciplinary action, as needed, for

Nursing and Nursing support services including CNA supervision.

Component and site audits of physician offices and clinics performed for compliance with

Insurance, OSHA, and HIPPA guidelines. HEDIS reviews for Blue Cross of Tennessee. SAS/SQL

and Microsoft Access database entry.

Provided contracted case/client management services as a business consultant assisting

companies seeking non-profit status, advised these clients on Employee Health, Workman’s

Comp and OSHA issues.

Administrative/Nursing Supervision, Admissions and PAE’s for 211 bed Long Term Care

Facility

Case Management

Case Manager- Full time after hours (5p-8a) and supplemental weekday case management of up

to 90+ Hospice patients. Tasks included administration, new admissions intake, pain and

symptom triage, medication administration and education, care recommendations for physicians

and legal compliance with Medicare and State law. Emotional support and referrals to appropriate

hospice support services provided for caregivers and patients. I also served as interim Director of

Clinical Services.

Case manager- for statewide waiver program for Medicaid Eligible patients for Level I nursing

home in the home care for 50-100 patients per month. Admissions, Discharges and Supervision of

staff involved in ongoing daily care were the largest part of daily duties. Performed Compliance

audits, record keeping, co-ordination of services and data entry as part of monthly and quarterly

duties.

Donor Coordinator- for Mid-South Tissue Bank: Worked in conjunction with Organ Donor

services to secure consent for donation of medically useful tissues and dispatch/assist surgical

team as needed to complete donation process. .

Clinical Informatics/Clinical Analyst

I am proficient in Windows XP, MS Office, Excel and Lotus Notes. I am experienced with Pyxis

& Sure Med Clinical Software /pharmacy systems and HBOC Care Manager and Cerner

Millennium charting systems. Med Capture Inter Rater Reliability 99% for HEDIS reviews with

eight clinical measures. I have served as a Preceptor for EMR implementations of various clinical

information systems.

EMR development assistance with clinical workflow, clinical EMR implementations and

clinical business processes including project management.

Direct Patient Care

Charge, Preceptor and staff RN in Critical Care (NeuroTrauma, Trauma, Surgical, CV), Trauma

Rehab and ER in Memphis, Tennessee and Portland, Oregon. Prior to becoming an RN I was

employed in hospital as an Ortho Tech, Physical Therapy Tech and Nurse Extern in Emergency

Room and ICU.

During this time I was responsible for direct patient care involving team coordination, triage, and

technical use of various medical devices, machinery and life saving equipment.
