Internship (Regulatory Affairs)

• Ensure Austarpharma complies with all regulations and laws pertaining to their business, through

review/understanding of current NDA and ANDA regulations/guidances and, as appropriate,

communicate between Austarpharma and FDA.

• Revise and update labeling (carton, package insert and medication guide) for a range of Austarpharma’s

generic products to ensure compliance with their equivalent brand-name drug products, and execute post

approval change submission.

• Prepare and submit labels to FDA in electronic format by using SPL (Structured Product Labeling) tool.

• Assist project manager in reviewing BE study protocol to make sure the study design is appropriate and

compliant with FDA requirement.

• Collect supportive documentations and assist QA and other departments in ongoing project management.

Hospital Dispensing Rotation

• Support the window pharmacist in selecting proper medications.

• Review patients’ culture results and antimicrobial therapy to confirm if the antibiotics have the

appropriate coverage. If inappropriate medication or dosing regimen suspected, contact the physician and

discuss alternative therapy (under pharmacist’s supervision).

• Ensure completion of routine pharmacy work: order review and processing, medication cart check,

answer physician/nurses inquiries on drug info, IV compounding, etc.

Clinical Rotation – Acute Care

• Review each patient’s medication profile; analyze and critique therapies based on clinical guidelines

present to preceptor every week.
