Controller/Sr. Business Analyst (2008-Present)

Six Sigma Project Leader for Inventory Control which resulted in a 1.4 million dollar savings.

Implemented SAP 6.0 project.

• 4 direct reports and 28 indirect reports,

• Manage a 13 Million Dollar Operations and Maintenance Budget and a 33 Million Dollar Capital

Budget for a 845 Megawatt Power Plant.

• Developed Operation Model Procedures, start up/shut down procedures, oversaw million dollar

overhauls of Combustion Turbines and Steam Turbines

• Responsible for a 6.7 million dollar warehouse

• Purchasing agent responsible for vendor negotiations and contract agreements.

Senior Financial Analyst (2007-2008)

Six Sigma Project Team for predicting and modeling New Service Accounts. Increased cost codes and

cost centers from 2 to 14 to accurately capture costs and allow for better analysis.

• Assembled spreadsheets, charts, and graphs for CEO and CFO to determine best allocation of

dollars for 2008 budget. Recommended and justified a cost per New Service Account that was

approved, without change.

• Developed and received approval for 2008 budget of $61M for 4 management areas.

Distribution Crew Manager and Resource Manager (1998 - 2007)

Directed and Coordinated 110 field bargaining personnel for Hurricane Wilma storm restoration effort.

Restored power to 85% of 305,000 customers in two week period for a three week restoration event.

• Executed annual operational budget of $14M, ensuring budget goals were met in 2 year period

and maintained goals in targets within set points.

• Interviewed and hired personnel for administration assistant positions, negotiated salaries, start

dates, and contracts.

• Conducted annual service center audits, ensuring all documentation, petty cash, and controllable

items were maintained and accounted for. Of the three years, only 5% of items required minor

correction action.

• Received, paid, and rejected contractor invoices for services rendered.

• Improved the turn-around time from job completion to payment from 9 months to 3 months.

• Ensured invoices were true and accurate and contractor work was to Florida Power and Light

Standards.

• Implemented a Safety Response Team in which 10 safety improvements were adopted in the

service center in a 3 month period. There were zero accidents for the remainder of the year due to

the improvements.

AMWAY CORPORATION, Ada, Michigan 1994 - 1998

Recycling Center Manager (1997 - 1998)

Managed two shift operation of 13 people in the sorting, bailing, warehousing, and transportation of

recyclable material.

• Rescheduled sorting operation in which in a three month period, the recycled percentage of

material improved 5% to a total of 80% of all waste.

• Negotiated a 10% increase in income for recycled material, price of material above book value.

• Created a computerized inventory for the selling of unused capital equipment.

Second Shift / Third Shift Maintenance Manager (1994 - 1997)

Directed the maintenance and upkeep of 65 buildings for the electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment,

overhead doors, and other associated building repairs with over 4 million square feet of floor space.

• Received performance recognition award for decreasing down time of equipment by 10%.
