Lejeune, NC. The project includes all necessary utility and base

infrastructure to support the BEQ's and will include additional / adjacent

structures to support the BEQ's Total Square Footage: 207,162 sf. Awarded:

USMC Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, Package #5, BEQ P-1112 (Chappo Area 22 -

299 Rooms), MCB Camp Pendleton, CA: Design-Build Contract. The work

consists of the design and construction of new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters

located on a three separate site at Camp Pendleton. The BEQs include the

following multi-story, reinforced masonry buildings with Zone 4 seismic

design. A complete Photovoltaic System is designed as part of carport

structures in the parking areas. Total Square Footage: 456,132sf. Awarded

09/22/2009 - Completed 11/29/2011. Award Amount: $124,372,557 - Final

Contract Amount:$139,954,580.

USMC Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, BEQ Package #1 (BEQ P-097 Chappo), MCB

Camp Pendleton CA: Design-Build Contract. The total contract work

consists of the Design-Build of five (5) new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters

located on three separate sites. The BEQs include multi-story, masonry

buildings: BEQ P-097 (22 Chappo Area - 200 Rooms); BEQ P-115 (13 HQ Area -

200 Rooms); BEQ P-170 (41 Las Flores Area - 200 Rooms); BEQ P-1000 (13 HQ

Area - 100 Rooms); BEQ P-1003 (13 HQ Area - 200 Rooms) - for a total of 900

rooms. Multiple buildings included the main BEQ structures (3- and 4-

story), separate Activity Buildings (1-story), and a separate Mechanical

Building for each BEQ. All spaces were designed to comply with ADA. Each

facility was cited for secured operation and Anti-Terrorism/Force

Protection (AT/FP) concerns. All AT/FP stand-off requirements were

incorporated into the final design and construction. Awarded 09/23/08 -

Completed 11/16/10 (est.). Award Amount: $114,580,321 - Final Contract

Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (P-991) & Learning Resource Center, Chappo Area

22, MCB Camp Pendleton CA: Design-Build Contract. Design and construct a

new 100-room Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) and adjacent Learning

Resource Center at MCB Camp Pendleton. The BEQ is a 4-story reinforced

masonry building with concrete foundation and floors with a structural

design to support seismic and progressive collapse. The BEQ was designed

to accommodate 200 enlisted personnel in 100 BEQ Sleeping Rooms. The rooms

will have semi-private bathrooms in the standard 2X0 room configuration.

The Base Bid included 92 Sleeping Rooms, with an Option that was exercised

for eight (8) additional rooms. A separate Mechanical Building and fenced

enclosure for the transformer and future chiller were cited in a discreet

location. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) was an adjacent single-story

building of approximately 3,500 square feet. The architectural design,

materials, and finishes were all complimentary to the BEQ building. The

LRC an Educational/Training Facility that facilitates the weekly

indoctrination (two-day sessions) of 40 new students on day/night shift

study. The floor plan included flexible sub-dividable classrooms, a large

multi-purpose study area that accommodates 30-computer workstations,

administrative offices, and restroom facilities. Total Square Footage:

49,755 sf. Awarded 05/30/07 - Completed 11/10/08. Award Amount: $13,028,983

- Final Contract Amount: $13,028,983 (est.).

Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) 13109 Renovation, Headquarters Area 13,

MCB Camp Pendleton CA: Design-Build Contract. The project scope includes

the seismic upgrading, strengthening and renovations for one, 3-story

Bachelor Enlisted Quarters Building, including removal and replacement of

all non-structural walls, all existing doors, windows, plumbing fixtures,

casework, floor, walls and ceiling finishes. Includes the replacement of

the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. An Option Bid Item was

exercised to install a new standing seam metal roof. The existing facility

consisted of the central core and the three (3) floors of sleeping rooms.

There were a total of 96 BEQ rooms. The final result was a completely

renovated and upgraded Bachelor Quarters. Total Square Footage: 41,483 sf.

Awarded 05/18/07 - Completed 06/02/08 (est.). Award Amount: $7,067,265-

Final Contract Amount: $7,067,265 (est.).
